Vehicle Detail
Sigh. I have to re-list due to yet another non-paying bidder. The guy that won the last auction has now failed to pay on 3 different vehicles. Please, if you weren't raised to honor your word don't bid. I find most true Mopar men are real men of honor and I hope the car goes to one of you great guys! I take every deal I make seriously and will honor them no matter what. Semper fi! We had 100+ watchers last time so I hope some of you come back to watch and bid this time. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Well folks I have come to the realization that it is time to sell my dream car. Unfortunately I have turned out to be one of those “I am going to finish it someday” guys. The good thing is I have kept my car inside, out of the weather, while others let theirs rust away in the yard. Another good thing is I am finally willing to sell it instead of keeping it until I die. I have owned this car for 12 years now and it has been garaged 100% of that time. This car has not seen a drop of rain or snow in 12 years. My other cars sit outside in the driveway while this car gets the entire 2 car garage to itself. You are bidding on a 1969 dodge coronet 440 2 door hardtop Brown/gold color with black interior Awesome b body musclecar The Good: This car is 99.9% complete Still has high lift jack and spareThis car ran well when parkedIt has all the A/C components still hooked up and the compressor is not locked upIt has power steeringThe interior is in really good shape for an unrestored car All the door panels in good-great shape Back seat in good-great shape Front seat decent with only 2 small inch long rips Rumored that the seats have never been farted onAll side glass and rear window goodElectrics workAll tires hold air and have very deep tread but are slightly dry rotted. I have not had to put air in these tires EVERBody is pretty straight I have brand new Year One patch panels included with car to fix rear wheel rust.Come with many spare parts 440 block Mid 70's block with 2 bolt mains 440 crank 2 sets of 440 heads Nice set of rebuilt 452 heads with big valves Set of old 452 heads that havent been rebuilt Mickey Thompson Aluminum 440 valve covers Factory 440 4 barrel iron intake 440 water pump 440 rods 440 727 torqueflite and converter Big block b body driveshaft Spare front bumper Spare trim parts Complete stainless bolt kit for a 440 Various other spares How to rebuild your big block mopar bookCurrently powered by a complete 318 2 barrel / 904 torqueflite comboFloors are very solid The Bad: I have lost the title. I will sell with a bill of sale and can put you in touch with the previous owner. I have documentation showing the car was on the road in 1999 and the name of the previous owner (a coworker) Rust behind the rear wheelsCrack in windshield. NOT shattered, just a line crack. They still make this windshield and it is easy to get.Does not currently run and hasn’t been started in 2 years. A fairly handy guy could get it running and you are welcome to use my tools and garage to do it. Main problem is the carb seals have dried up. Carb leaks a considerable amount of gas. Engine did not smoke when parked and ran well enough.Brakes aren’t very good but it will stop. Manual drum brake all aroundTransmission leaks a bit.Rust in trunkDash pad has a couple cracks in itPlastic vents in dash look like they have sagged from heatCarpet is ok but could use replacedI removed the vinyl top and it needs a new one. Overall this is a super solid project car for someone. With a little work it would be a daily driver project. It has just been sitting too long and needs some basic things like brakes, carb rebuilt, and some trans seals to make it a decent enough driver. My grand plans were to swap in the 440 and put disc brakes on it and make it a restomod or pro touring type car. My dream has always been to have a really cool restored mopar B body but I dont think that dream will ever come true so here is someone elses chance. I am selling because it is the right thing to do for the car. I have a reasonable reserve for the car and if it doesn’t sell I will do the paperwork for the title and redo the drum brakes and carb and try again. I welcome people to come and look at the car before bidding. I live about 20 minutes south of Memphis TN in Olive Branch MS. Once the auction closes I expect payment within 7 days. After payment I can store the car for up to 2 months in my garage. Please feel free to email me with questions. I have been on ebay for 11 years and have 459 feedback, all 100% positive. I would love to see a real mopar guy with some motivation get this car. I really do love it, I just need to be honest with myself that I will never finish it. It deserves a better owner than me. I will not end the auction early so please dont ask. I dont think its fair to the other bidders to end an auction early. Have an great day and feel free to ask questions. If you need additional pics please email me. I can photograph specific areas of the car end send them to you.
