This 2003 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor spent the first part of it's life as a marked patrol car. It was later transitioned to an administrative vehicle until it was declared surplus. There are miscellaneous holes in the various parts of the vehicle from where the police equipment was mounted. Some of those areas include the dash and the trunk lid. The holes on the trunk are plugged with rubber stoppers. There is a large scratch on the passenger side of the vehicle that is visible in the picture as the white mark on the door. Some of the scratch is on the molding, some of the scratch is on the paint. There are other small scratches on the vehicle as well. The car was well maintained by the city mechanics but does have at least the three following known mechanical defects. The car has a BLOWN HEAD GASKET. Our mechanics provided a temporary repair by placing block sealer on the engine. The power steering is not working. It is very difficult to steer. The vehicle needs to be jumped to start. It has been parked since March, so the battery will no longer start the vehicle. The vehicle runs but no guarantees can be made on the operating condition of the vehicle or how long it can run on the temporary fix. It produces a small amount of smoke when it starts, but then will run without noticing any issues from the exhaust. I am unaware of any other mechanical issues with the car and it was running fine prior to this issue. However, this is a used police car with over 100,000 miles that has been sitting for several months. There may be other mechanical issues with the vehicle we are not aware of that may be discovered at the time of purchase. This vehicle is sold as is with no warrantees or guarantees. There is no spare tire for the car. No other equipment is provided with the vehicle. Payment must be made by cashiers check within seven (7) days of the close of auction.
