1986 Honda ATC 350x MINT and completely stock I am putting the prize of my vintage motorbike collection up for sale. Basically, I got a little hammered this year on my taxes, so the toys are going. I have spent the last few years putting this collection together, and it pains me to sell, but so it is…. Onto this bike: This is one of the cleanest 1986 Honda ATC 350 X’s that you will find. It is completely 100% OEM stock, as the bike came from American Honda and the local dealer back in 86. I am the second owner. The previous owner said he rode it maybe 10 times at Pismo then it sat in his garage. He was a retired Police Officer. The bike is absolutely immaculate for its age and use. What really sets this bike apart is that I have the original papers from the Honda dealer where it was bought new! Includes the warrantee sheet, the actual dealer invoice (from the long defunct San Jose Honda) and a few other little relics back to the ATC era of 1985, 1987 and 1987. But it is the all original NOS OEM paperwork, which is super cool! I also have a clean title for the bike, owners manual, original brochure and tool kit. Its all there. This is very rare to find this level of extras with one of these bikes. If you are looking to add a 350x to your collection, then this is your bike, the likelihood another un-restored one this clean coming along is rare. Specifics and details: · I had Mike Palmgren at Vintage Motorsports repaint the gas tank to a perfect OEM NOS finish. There were no dents, it just needed some touch up work done, as I wanted the bike to be perfect. The inside of the tank is as clean as the rest of the bike as well. When Honda of Japan wanted an ATC for the official company museum in Japan, they had Mike build a bike for them. No one else can make that claim, the work is second to none! · The plastic is about as perfect as can be. There are small scuff marks, but no other issues and no spider cracking or problems to report. · The Stock Ohtsu Hondaline Tires are 75% or more. · The rear swingarm / chassis is clean enough to eat off of. Little to no surface rust or pitting. · All helmet holders, warning decals, cable guides, etc are there. · The stock Air filter disintegrated when I touched it, so I replaced that with an OEM Honda filter. · Starts, idles and runs perfect. Clean carb, well jetted · Seat is in good clean shape. There is a small set of cracks on it at the very back, but they are not ripped all the way through and they are barely noticeable. This bike is just about as close as you can get to mint without being brand new. I would rate it at a 9 or higher out of 10, and on a scale of 1 to 10. It is in rare un-restored condition. The plastic still shines!
