Vehicle Detail
This is a 1985 ford bronco my dad owned. He passed away in 2008 and it was just sitting there so I am Trying to sell it for my mom to get it out of the drive and get her a little extra cash. The start price is my bottom dollar and the reserve as well ,anything over that wins the truck. I don't know everything about this truck but I do know some. It has a 351 motor(modified I believe) 4wheel drive with automatic transmission. I put a battery in it , primed the carb and managed to get it started. after it warmed up it sat there and idled pretty good. wasnt smoking or anything. it does still have a bit of roughness to it though. Probably needs some new gas since the stuff in there has been there for awhile and probably a good tuneup .. It had a couple small oil leaks on valve covers that I fixed. It moves in all the gears but it is a little sluggish. Probably from sitting so long. But the more I drove it around the better it got so it may just take a new filter and fluid and a little driving to get it back to par. all the lights and gauges seem to work on it. as well as wipers.I put a different old set of tires on it cause the others were badly dry rotted. These hold air but still are better than the ones that were on it. They are 32x11.50x15 tires.. The interior is actually in pretty good shape. could use a good cleaning though. And the driver side seat is torn. I dont know if the radio works, didnt try it.The brakes make a wierd vacumm sound when you hit the pedal but they do work. Not sure what that will take to fix. It has all the glass in it but front winshield does have a crack all the way across. It has electric windows but the switches werent working when I tried them. The very back window has switch was missing but I took a battery back to it and touched off the wires to it, and the window went up and down. may just need new switches all the way around. I know the 4 wheel drive worked right before he died but remember him saying it was going to need a new front left lockout. It has typicall rust above back tires and some by front doors as well as paint peeling and light rust on the hood. He drove this truck to work occaisionally but mostly around our place or to the deer woods. With a little work .This would make a pretty good farm truck or a good start to a mud truck or even a good project for a new driver to start with. It will also need a battery. mine doesnt go with sale.I didnt drive it on the road though and I would say it would be better to trailer it home to the winning bidder. The truck is sold as is where is with no warranty refunds or returns. shipping is buyers responsibility. $ 250.00 non refundable deposit by paypal within 48 hours of auction end and full payment within 5 days unless other arraingements are made. truck doesnt leave my place till payed in full. I will help with loading if needed. got questions just ask, will be happy to try to help. thanks and happy bidding.
