Vehicle Detail
This 1967 Mustang Fastback was rebuilt 21 years ago and has had about 4,500 miles of use since then. It has been garage kept for the last 21 years. I purchased the car in 1989. The following was done to this car in 1990. I had the original 289 engine rebuilt by a local motor shop and installed it back in the car. The car then went into the body shop and the following was done. New frame rails front and back Half quarter panels Outer Wheelhouse panels L/R NOS tail light panel New gas tank New trunk floors Rear deck lid from a donor Set of doors from a donor New front fenders New torque boxes New engine compartment panels Shock towers from a donor New front suspension New rear suspension NOS Radiator Support New Radiator Turn Signal Hood from a donor New windshield New front and rear lower valances and light units New bumpers front and rear New chrome trim New rubber gaskets; Doors, Deck lid, Windshield, rear window New Rugs, Headliner, Sun visors and dash cover. The car was stripped to bare metal, primed, painted Wimbledon White, assembled and painted a second coat of urethane Wimbledon White. It still shines like the day it was painted. In 1994, the transmission was rebuilt. Right now there are some nicks in the paint from having driven the car occasional over the last 21 years. The interior needs some work such as new seat covers for the folddown rear seat and the front seats are 1970 high back buckets and need to be replaced for a true original. Underneath there is a small amount of surface rust but no “RUST” issues at all. The car just had a tune-up and a new battery was installed. It runs great! The first 12 pictures are from the rebuild in 1990 and the last 12 pictures are recent pictures. The recent pictures show the newer vanity plate This car is a perfect candidate for an Eleanor build. This car is being sold AS-IS with no warrantees expressed or implied.
