This one of a kind 1979 Toyota land cruiser (FJ40), PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS WITH RESOURCES BID OR INQUIRE. This restoration was intended for someone that wants a very nice one of a kind FJ40. Vehicle Description: The Frame: After disassembly the whole frame was media blasted then primed and painted using POR15 rust preventative paint. http://www.por15.com/whatispor15.asp Flimsy stock front bumper was replaced with "Cool Cruisers of Texas" heavy duty HFS shackle and winch bumper.Steering arm was rebuild and complete set of new tie rod ends installed. The body/tub:This land cruiser was in good shape before restoration and in fact all of the body is ORIGINAL (not after market parts on it); however some parts such as floor pans, rear corners, and rear body channel had to be cut out and new metal installed. The inside and undercarriage was completely covered with professional grade tintable spray on bed liner material except for the inside dash area.Most of bolts, washers and nuts were replaced with Stainless Steel, and all other bolt and nuts and pieces that we did not replace for stainless steel were restored or painted as well. All new polyurethane body mounts were installed using new hardware.All window glass including doors were removed for better paint job quality and reassembled with all new rubber gaskets and seals.Automotive vibration damping mats that not only dampen out road noise but also act as an insulator were installed on inside firewall and on tub floor. http://www.secondskinaudio.com/Front seats were replaced with Toyota Avalon leather seats, drivers side is full power. Both seats are heated, however this function was never wired for current operation but could be completed in the future by qualified technician.Both rear seats were completly disassembled blasted and frames primed and painted, then recovered with vinyl and new foam installed. New seat belts and hardware were installed in both front and rear.Specter custom roll bar pad kit installed.New headliner installed.New carpet installed.All body parts were completely disassembled and media blasted then immediately primed and painted, paint color is sterling gray metallic.The engine:Toyota 2F engine completely rebuilt both block and head with new pistons, camshaft, bearings, gaskets and seals.The Carburetor completely disassembled and rebuilt then test ran before installation. The oil sending unit was replaced, and the stock air filter was replaced by a K&N filter. Power steering was installed using a Toyota OEM gearbox and a GM pump. The stock exhaust manifold was replaced by a header exhaust and installed all new pipe and muffler. New vacuum advance distributor with a “Pertronix” electronic ignition, flame thrower coil, and new Optima red top battery was installed. The cooling system:The old radiator was replaced with new aluminum radiator for better cooling and a high performance electric fan installed.New Antifreeze, new water pump, thermostat, and sending unit installed. Transmission:Completely disassembled and inspected, some bearings and gears replaced, all new gaskets and seals installed then topped off with new fluids as well as split transfer case with new seals and gaskets. “T case” brace was installed, these strengthen the factory case where there is a potential for cracking (there was no prior cracks in this case).All new clutch system with new disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, reground flywheel, new slave cylinder and OEM hose. Suspension:HFS™ 4” Lift Springs, 1.5” barbell shackles, leveler block, polyurethane bushings, greasable spring hangers, and shocks installed.HFS™ Springs are designed and fitted exclusively for the Vintage Land Cruiser!HFS™ springs have superior design features to Lift and Soften Ride.HFS™ Springs are engineered slightly longer to push shackles out and away from axels allowing shackles to swing as springs flex. Proper spring shackle angle creates a much softer ride, reduced leaf stress and improves spring durability. To maintain the "Ideal Shackle Angle" requires a much heavier and beefier spring stack than other stiff riding lifts offer.HFS™ Lift Springs are Heavier and "Softer" riding than any other Land Cruiser Lift Spring on the Market.Brake system was restored with calipers, pads and rear brake cylinders OEM. New stainless steel braded lines installed, brake master cylinder rebuilt.Tires are new Dean Mud Terrain Radial SXT 33X9.5 R15. (No spare) Wheels are new 15X8 steel wagon powder coated black.
