1991 BMW 750iL 4-Door Sedan Click Image for Photos 1991 BMW 750iL This is a low mileage, California car with a powerful V12 engine. It has been well taken care of and will make a great daily driver. The BMW was donated to the Petersen Automotive Museum in 2008 and has spent the past few years in an environmentally controlled storage facility. Drivetrain: The BMW 750iL listed here retains its stock 5.0-liter V12 engine with 4-speed automatic transmission. The BMW was briefly used as a company vehicle and starts and runs great, as befitting a low mileage car of this condition, but we recently encountered an electrical problem. We replaced the battery and believe that may have fixed it. The relatively new dealer-installed, aftermarket Sumitomo tires are in very good shape with plenty of tread. The brakes are fine. The car passed smog in 2010. Exterior: Doors, hood and trunk fit well and shut tightly. The body is in good condition. There are no dents and it has not been in an accident, but a portion of the front fascia on the right side was broken off. The paint also looks good, but there are a few scratches and water marks. The glass in all of the windows, including the sunroof, is in good condition. All lights and signals work. The spare tire and tool kit are in the trunk. Interior: The spacious interior is covered in leather and while there are no rips or tears, the driver’s seat is fairly worn and cracked. The headliner, carpet and dash are all in very good shape. The gauges work, the sun roof opens and closes and all the windows go up and down. In addition, this BMW has power seats, power windows, power locks, CD player, AM/FM radio and cassette player, cruise control, and air-conditioning. Overall: Please keep in mind that while this BMW runs and drives, we suggest that a qualified mechanic take a look at the car before deeming it “roadworthy.” The BMW is currently registered in the state of California and passed smog in 2010.
