Vehicle Detail
This is a very nice, rust free Pontiac Grand Prix. In fact, it is so original you would think it was kept in a barn for several years. This Grand Prix is in excellent condition with great styling by the late John Delorean. It is a very nice, low mileage example and was recently repainted. It gets attention everywhere it goes! It is a truly awesome exterior/interior color combo. It has not been modified and is in stock, factory condition. This is a fun car to drive around in and we really enjoy taking it out for cruises! Vehicle Description There is NO rust on this body as you would expect from one driven in California. It retains ALL of the original body panels. The floors, doors, and fenders are original as well as the quarter panels. The original spot welds are also visible in several areas. It also retains the original Pontiac Glass - All logo’s including one on the windshield are present. I also believe the mileage of 49,000 to be correct (I was told the mileage was original, however, I don’t have any documentation to back this up. IMHO, it appears to be original). Original equipment on this Pontiac included: 400 4 V Dual Exhaust T Code Auto Trans Rally II Wheels Air Conditioning Tilt Steering Power Windows (they all work too!) Power Door Locks Power Disc Brakes Deluxe Trim & Carpet with Locking Console Plus much more… Exterior/Interior/Mechanical Condition: The paint is in very, very nice condition as it was recently repainted in the original color. There are NO rust issues with this Grand Prix! The trunk and spare tire area are in great condition. The vinyl roof is also in great condition. There are only 2 minor imperfections in the paint. One is in the trunk and the other is in the front surrounds are in front of the hood. The fronts and rear seats were just re-upholstered. The front headrests are included as well as the hardware should you elect to put these back on the seats. New carpet was also recently installed. All gauges work except the clock. An aftermarket radio was recently installed. The A/C does not work. The drivers door panel has a minor crack in it towards the top of it. This vehicle runs and drives great. It is a little cold blooded. It drives through and shifts great. Like most cars of this age, it does leave a few drops of oil on the ground. I also believe the exhaust may be going soon. Other info to know about this vehicle and auction Please keep in mind this is a 39 year old collector car. I am not going to say it does not need anything; as I am not an expert and everyone is subject to their opinion and level of perfection. It does have your typical wear and tear for a car of this age. It does need a few things as I mentioned. I am not a mechanical expert and I have described it to the best of my knowledge. It is on a clean California title in my name. About the Pontiac Grand Prix: The 1969-1972 Grand Prix’s was built on what GM termed an A-body chassis and suspension. This year Pontiac Grand Prix was designed by the late John Delorean and is one of his widely recognized designs. 1972 is considered the end of the performance Grand Prix's 1972 would be the last year for the John DeLorean long hood/short deck design. The GM A-body was also the platform for the Stutz Bearcat that was manufactured in the 70's and 80‘s. Questions/Terms: This is a RESERVE AUCTION. This means it will not be revealed. Please do not bid unless you are serious and have all the funds available. This vehicle is available for inspection during the auction. Winning the auction does not mean it is an opportunity for you to come by and think about it. You are entering into a contract. Nice solid Pontiac’s in this desirable color combination are getting harder and harder to find. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own one of the legendary iconic cars from the 70’s. Who doesn’t know someone who had a great story about these indestructible, great cars. If you are in the market for a very original, excellent condition, garage kept Grand Prix, you will want to place a bid.
