Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a fresh find from Maryland. This is a complete 1939 Oldsmobile Convertible that had been sitting in the garage since 1958. The car was purchased in 1941 from a dealer in D.C. and titled in Maryland on September 26th 1941.(Thats the title that comes with car) In 1958 the car was parked in the garage and I just took it out. The garage did have a concrete floor and the underside was preserved fairly well. It does have some rust in the front floor but the rest looks solid including the trunk. The frame appears to be in good condition and does have the X frame, I wasnt sure if that was unique to convertibles or not. The top frame is intact and appears to be in good condition. I am not going to go into great detail I would prefer that you ask the questions and let me answer those to the best of my ability. I have the original registration cards from the 40's and 50's and the gas ration card from 1944. I will say that the rear fenders are bent pretty bad and the drivers quarter behind the door is bent in but is solid enough to be fixed. I think this is rare car and I payed a good amount for it but I am listing this with no reserve with anticipation that someone will appreciate it and restore it or street rod it.
