Beautiful 1961 MGA MK2 1600 roadster ..this car is in excellent condition ..the car underwent a total restoration some years back..the car has been very well maintained even though it has been used very little since..Matching number car has the original engine and gearbox... Mechanically the car is excellent..the engine is in perfect working order...starts right up with no sign of any wear whatsoever..no smoke or rattle of any kind...the 4 speed gearbox functions as it should..clutch is strong with no slippage...brakes are all functioning as they should and even the handbrake holds the car on steep grade fine..all electrics are in perfect working order...the car drives just as it should..steering is ture with no play..new exhaust in the past 2 years sounds great .it is a pleasure to drive... The car recieved new Black paint some years back and it shows very well, there are no scratches or dents on the car , I can find only one very minor paint chip on the drivers door which could be easily touched up...No rust whatsoever on the car..New Red interior fitted is in perfect condition..new black carpets are also in fine condition showing only very minimal wear..the dash is just like new and all the gauges function as they should...Oil Pressure gauge reads 60 upon start up and stays at 40 when hot...tempreture reads nice and cool....a new ild cooler was fitted about a year ago..New wire wheels and dunlop tires are fittted on the car ...The car comes with tonneau cover and boot cover..the side windows are also in excellent condition .the top and frame are in original condition with the usual yellowing of the plastic rear window...the car has always been garaged ..after the new interior was fitted the top frame was never reinstalled as the car was only used in fine weather and the tonneau cover was used. the car was owned by the same gentleman for over the last 30 yearsOn Sep-14-11 at 05:39:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I have beed told that this car is actually a 1600 MK1 much rarer then the MK2
