Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this 1992 (VIN # 1P3XA463GNF194575) Plymouth Acclaim 3.0L V6 – 3spd automatic transmission w/ 90,500 original miles and is in excellent running condition. This vehicle has been in our family for about 10 years. We have no longer need of the car as I finished refurbishing another pickup. Lubricant (Castrol), Coolant (Prestone) and Filters (K&N) regularly changed. Every 3000mi. for oil changes – transmission fluid flush/change & filter twice thus far. Every third tank of gas gets fuel injector cleaner (Lucas brand) – coolant system flush & fill twice thus far. This is a very well maintained vehicle overall. The undercarriage is solid and undercoated, shock towers, rockers & door jambs also (refer to pictures). Drive tires @ appx. 80% and trailing axle tires @ appx. 75%. CV boots, tie-rods and ball joints good… no play / slack in front suspension and no leaks underneath – does not burn/use oil. A/C blows cool, but not cold. Cruise control, tilt-wheel steering, AM/FM radio (w/factory equalizer), rear window defrost, heater, intermittent wipers and washer all work fine. All glass is in great shape, rubber seals (doors, glass, trunk, etc.) as well. Compression check on all six cylinders… good. Electric cooling fan works as it should, this engine does not overheat at idle. *Within last three years or so the following items have incrementally been replaced: ü Fuel Tank ü Shifting linkage ü Front struts / rear shocks (better than standard) ü More substantial lug nuts w/ locks ü Fuel pump (increased flow rate) ü Plugs (better than standard), plug wires (thicker), serpentine & accessory belt ü Headlight assemblies ü Exhaust system ü Original equipment manufacturer speakers front & back ü All exterior bulbs replaced ü Front disc brake pads / rear drum brake shoes ü Haynes repair manual & correct owner’s manual ü Trunk rack ü Sears Die-Hard™ battery ü Thick rubber floor mats (over the original carpet mats) ü Rain-X brand wiper blades w/ Rain-X solution added to reservoir There are a few scratches and minor dings as would be expected, but overall the car is very clean & straight… no rust and there is no body rot. The headliner has been “pinned” with the button screw-in style you find at franchised auto supply chains. Plymouth hubcaps tossed… painted the steel wheels instead. The luggage racks on top are removable and come with the car. An extra strut (new), Goodyear timing belt (new), jumper cables, 12v light/inflator combo, collapsible 4-way “X” style lug nut wrench w/scissor jack, and emergency gas can are in the trunk. Space saver spare has never been used to my knowledge. Bidding starts at $950.00 with no reserve and a deposit of $250.00 after the immediate sale - the balance due within 5-days. Vehicle is sold as is and described to the best of my ability and knowledge of known deficiencies (If I were'nt selling it I would consider an alignment). Offered locally, so I reserve the right to end auction early. Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries (I welcome them) at rervin01@baker.edu. I took the pictures with a new camera so disregard the date stamp; I forgot to set it properly.
