Vehicle Detail

1995 Geo Metro 1.0 3 cylinder 5 speed This is an excellent driving little car. The A arm support structures have absolutely no rust!!! The body is solid, but does have a few door dings. The paint is faded on the top, and the window tint has some bubbles on the small rear window on the driver’s side. The headlights work by a switch on the dash and the horn button is also on the dash. The engine is recently rebuilt with new valves, rings, rod bearings, gaskets etc. The brakes are smooth and strong. It shifts smooth with no problems. It has plenty of power for a 3 cylinder car. I have checked the mileage while driving only in town with 45 mpg. It will get in the mid to upper 50’s on the interstate. The seats have no tears or bad places. The interior looks good. The dash was faded a little and I painted it with dashboard paint, so it looks good also. The headliner was down towards the back, so I removed it and painted it with a textured paint. I think it now looks better than it did before. The tires are almost new. The title says true miles unknown, because the instrument cluster was changed with one with a trip counter for checking the gas mileage. The car drives great down the road, and has more power than most geo metros that I have driven. The A/C is ice cold and the heater works great. It has a CD player installed. The belts are all new, and the cover to the timing belt was left off to better see if it ever needs to be replaced in the future (I should still have that cover in the garage). I replaced the radiator with a slightly larger one that has the option to hook up oil cooling lines if you wish to do so in the future. I am a teacher, and I drive this little car to work daily. I haven’t had any problems with this little car, though it does puff a little smoke between gear changes, like when gearing down. I was told that it would quit doing that after it was driven several hundred miles and the new rings would seat. I have to add about ½ a quart of oil when I fill up, but who really cares with that kind of gas mileage. I recently purchased a little larger 4 door car that is a little better for me to haul my kids back and forth to school. A small 2 door is hard to get 2 kids and backpacks in and out easily. This car is perfect for someone who is looking for a GREAT GAS MILEAGE car to run to and from work. I never had a problem finding a parking place due to the small size. I have nothing to hide about this car, so if I haven’t answered a question in this listing, send me an email. I’m not trying to make money on this car, I just don’t need it anymore. I live just outside Morehead, Kentucky which is about an hour east of Lexington. I have this car for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
