1971 Suzuki

Hi this is a lovely original first edition GT380J frame stamped manufactured December 1971, surely this must be the very first year, it shows 10438 miles the plastic faces on the clocks are clear, and undamaged, from checking the bike over it looks to be original miles, its still fitted with the factory spec Bridgestone rear tire which looks to be in good order, I'm pretty sure you can't buy these any-more, just goes to show how long ago this was replaced and the bike stored i guess its a first replacement on the original bearing in mind the bike shows 10,000 miles I bought the bike last year as part of a bigger project but now decided to sell them I've got a number of old vintage two stroke Suzuki 185's 250's 550's and 750's I'm selling, the only thing I've done to the bike is replace the plastic points cam wheel ( I guess was the reason the bike was stored ) it's the one that drives the points cam that sits behind the clutch casing, I've also replaced the battery. You can pretty much tell the condition from the photo's the paint work is all good untouched and original, the bad bit is the top of the tank its been soiled not sure how maybe age, it may come up with a good polish or treatment no dents or ding's side panels headlight and side brackets are good and have a deep shine the frame paints good and shines well, the chrome on the pipes have suffered some acid staining but remain good with good chrome and untarnished otherwise, the seat cover's original and undamaged with no tears or splits, its good and presentable under the seat and around the battery etc, the chrome rims are good as with the front and rear fender very little if-at-all tarnish, it has all the original twist grip rubbers bar ends and levers with the exception of the clutch lever this has been replaced before me with an after-market lever, switches choke lever etc. are original and in exceptional condition, no signs of the bike being dropped or messed about with, the screw heads and bolts remain good and unturned, it starts from cold on 2end or 3rid kick and runs fine, the engine and transmission work well with no funny noises, although i recommend it being serviced and checked before ridding etc., the brakes front and rear work fine, the charging system works fine as with all other electrics, headlight front and rear indicators etc. Please note I've up-loaded a photo of the only paper work/title related information I have on this bike, I'm unsure what this document represents as far as its title or that its related to obtaining one, im more than happy to discuss it if you'd like to ring or email me, I have a bill-of-sale This is a great original first year GT380 would make an easy restoration with all parts untouched no polished casings just original as it should be from years of surviving Call or email for any more pics or information Richard 941-448-3571 can help with any shipping international or otherwise
