Normal 0 2005 Diesel Passat GLS Fuel mileage has been on these is 38-42 MPG on the highway, 32-34 in town. Plenty of power with this new-for-2004.5 engine yet gets nearly as good of mileage as the older and less powerful VW diesel engine. Among other features, the standard GLS included leather, keyless entry, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control, traction control, locking differential, upgraded Monsoon sound system with very strong bass, projector headlamps, fog lights, heated seats, pollen filter, trip computer with fuel mileage, and a sunroof There are no problems that I know of with this car other than the top of the led disply is fading a little (see photo ) and the outide temp is not reading (see photo). It looks and runs like a 40K car. I did have the transmission rebuilt because I did not like the way it shifted, so the trans is new. I also have a 2000 beetle TDI in another sale listed. I personal own and drive a Jetta TDI so I know these cars well.
