Hello and welcome to my auction. I don't want anybody confused so please read the entire ad and you can look at the pictures of the car for sale and also others I have restored. The car for sale is the Red 1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible .The paint color can be changed but it is already red inside and out and I would like to keep it Mars Red which is the original color of the car .Ok, so what are you getting for $14,000? 1st Your getting a solid rust free California car . I do not mess with rust bucket junk .It is just a waste of my time so do not please ask if there is any rust. I walk away from those types of cars . 2nd Your getting a frame off the pan restored 1978 Super Beetle using only original parts if in excellent condition otherwise everything is replaced with new. I try to keep all German sheet metal and this car has all it's original good German sheet metal with no dents or dings. The suspension ,brakes,cv joints,bushing and tie rods and even the steering box is replaced to give it as close to as brand new 78 Volkswagen beetle would feel and ride. 3rd You are getting all new moldings ,bumpers,tail lights and turn signals,windshield ,new beading,gravel guards,running boards ,mirrors ,and every rubber this car had new "Just the rubber alone runs me $1,000.00 my cost". 4th Transmission is brand new and as we speak it does not have oil in it yet ,the clutch ,pressure plate ,throwout barring are also brand new and last but not least all the pedals are replaced with new. 5th All new interior not just some and not cheap quality .Check out the pictures of other cars I have done. These are the absolute best interior packages on the market today and you get to choose your color Black,White,Tan, Gray, Red or Blue .This also goes for door panels and seat covers. Sun Visors only come in white or black.The carpet you can pick from Black,tan,Charcoal,Gray,Oatmeal and lets not forget new dash cap ,door handles and seat belts . 6th You are getting a brand new Convertible top with all the bells and whistles not just some cheap top thrown on with old rubbers and rusty tension cables. Everything is new ,every rubber and every screw. Colors include Black,White,Tan or Navy and $200.00 extra for Canvas or it will come in Pinpoint Vinyl as original at a cost of over $2,000.00 7th You are receiving a show and shine quality paint job far above anything offered in this price range .Granted this is not show quality and please be realistic .A show quality paint job alone is $6,000.00 and I do not build those types of cars that can't be driven and enjoyed. Do not get me wrong a show and shine quality is still extremely nice .We block sand the car out 3 times inside and out and it is wet sanded inbetween coats for a smooth shiny finish. The car is at this point Red but we are willing to paint it other beetle colors other then "Black". If another color is wanted we will need to strip the car of the red paint and this will take additional time and an additional $1,000.00 to change the paint color. It is a lot of work but can be done and are willing to do it. 8th You are receiving a fully rebuilt 1600 Dual Port engine with only Test miles on it.Everything inside the motor including the heads are off the shelf brand new ,only the block itself is original to the car .The fuel injection system will be all tested and in tip top shape . I am sure I am missing things here and there and I want to make a point that I have 2 other cars I am offering full restorations on and 1 car that is already completed and is high driver quality so if bidding ends on any of the 3 full restoration I am offering I will end the other auction because I will not have time to do 3 and be able to be able to complete all work within a timely fashion. I usually take about 4 to 5 weeks to complete 2 working 15 hours days if needed and paid employees so this is not a long term restoration. I have bills I need to pay also so I get the work done as quickly as of highest quaitly possible. There are tire options available but white walls are an additional $125.00 per tire and in my opinion well worth it otherwise standard 15 inch volkswagen tire and wheels will be brand new installed for no extra cost. Terms: I have agreed to sell a 1978 Super Beetle Convertible Champange II Edition that is Peach Metallic Red originally and originally sold from the Santa Cruz California dealership. I have also agreed to take half of $12,500.00 as deposit and have agreed to complete the restoration in 5 weeks . The car will have option of cd changer in back of luggage area with original radio or a radio cd combo from classic vibes. The rims will be original LeMertz rims with brand new tires . This car will look as it did on the Volkswagen showroom floor,undercoating of bottom will be determined at a later date but will include if buyer so desires. Full payment on completion of car and viewing of pictures and video.
