Vehicle Detail
Ok here it goes... I have owned this Mustang since February 1986, just over 25 years. VIN# 8F02S123605 I believe that I am the 4th owner. The original owner had it till 1977 when they sold it, and that buyer resold the car to the person that I purchased it from. I have receipts to track all of this. I have the original owners manual and paperwork from when car was purchased new at Chuck Callahan Ford here in Indianapolis. I have all receipts on repairs and service for the last 25 years. This car has been in 2 magazines over the years, Ford Buyers Guide and Collectible Automobile. This car is Rare!! It is an "S" code 390 GT Fastback combined with the Bench Seat and fold down arm rest. I had the car painted in 1986 and some minor body work was done at that time. The car is a very good looking straight original old mustang. The car looks really good from 5 feet away but is beginning to show its age in the paint and body work. There are bubbles beginning to appear in the body work in a few spots and a couple of chips, and the floors will need attention. (see pics)To make the car a show car it is going to need restored, please see all the pictures of the car. It runs and drives well and I believe most items work except for the radio. The original color is the only thing that has been changed, it was originally Sunlit Gold with flat black hood stripes and c-stripe.I just changed the gold to Candy Apple Red, an original 1968 color, but not to this particular car. This was all done in 1986. When I had the car painted I replaced A LOT of the chrome on this car with Factory Ford Parts, NOT Repros. The wheel lip trim, bumpers, tail light trim, etc. and they all still look GREAT!! I do not HAVE to sell it but would like to get it out of storage.Modest reserve, bid to win. Car is located on the Southside of Indianapolis, I'm pretty flexible for showings. I would rather the buyer/bidders see this car in person. Low, negative or no feedback bids will be cancelled, contact me before bidding. Thanks for looking. On Sep-09-11 at 17:06:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clear things up. Payment information: Car and title will not be released by me until; - Wire Transfer clears the bank. or - Cash is deposited at my bank.On Sep-13-11 at 08:02:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I found the other book that this car appeared in, I had to dig it out. It was featured in; "The Complete Book Of MUSTANG" By the auto editors of Consumer Guide. Copywrighted 1989. It was photographed by Nicky Wright and has 5 photos on pages 100 & 101. I am listed on the first page as the owner.
