Vehicle Detail
This is a 1974 camaro, real Z28, type LT. Originally black on black, its now blue and needs 1/4 work and painted. Frame rails look good, floor looks good except for the DS rear floorboard which has a hole. the hole around the shifter looked like it had been messed with but its covered by the console and there is no rust in that area that I saw... This car ran when I bought it, I needed money and tried to sell it. In that time someone came to look at it and not only pulled on the brake line and cause a brake leak (DS rear brake area) but also climbed into the engine bay to find engine codes and kicked around and now it will not start. On a seperate occaison someone looked at it while I was not around and either walked off with the door/trunk key or locked it in the trunk. The trunk had a little rust but nothing major. I would gues the dropoffs would need work since the quarters are rough. I still have the ignition key. I dont have time to diagnose why it wont start. If you hotwire it, it should run because I drove it off of the trailer and around my house. It ran well but needed a tune up, backfired every now and then. I would get a new carb and freshen up the motor if it were me.... car is sitting on two pontiac rallys and two oldsmobile rallys, I have 3 of each kind, 6 wheels total incliding the 4 on the car and they are included. You will need tires, these are rollers. Two of the tires on the olds wheels may be usable, theres a small amount of dry rot but Ive seen worse being used on the street. The dual exhaust is solid and sounded good. both splash pans, front and back have the usual rust. It has headers, trac bars, etc. I was told its a 350 with a mild cam but Ive since been told that its a 305 possibly. I dont know the difference, Im a mopar guy and all I know is that its a SBC. Tell me how to check or look at the pic of it. Also when I drove it and unloaded it from the trailer it seemed like it needed ball joints up front. The trans has a small leak as well, lucasoil would probably fix it, its a slow leak. Floor shift car with the LT interior. There are vinyl bucket seats in it from a nissan or something. They look decent but the tracks need welded or bolted in and there are a few minor tears in them. I have the original LT basketweave seats but they are rough. the tracks and frames should be fine. The rest of the interior is about the same, decent by driver standards but nowhere near perfect. It needs a headliner and carpet as you would expect. the dash has a crack above the gauge area, it has the meridian walnut gauge overlay but it has a little damage. the LT sail panels are there but one is broken towards the very bottom and the other is in OK shape iirc. the gauges worked and lit up as far as I could tell, but the wiring will need some work because sometimes you have to jostle the gauges to get them to light up and they are not mounted correctly....the center console is decent and the back seats are ok with a few small tears. the engine as you can see in the picture is jumped from the coil to the battery, thats how it started up you had to connect the clip to the pos terminal before it would start. I bought the piece thats needed to fix that, its new in the box and included. I also have the rear window trim in decent shape for it and two air cleaners but they are kind of beat Car needs quarter work done as you can see in the pictures, and it will need a pass side fender and a hood. the hood was drilled for a 77 scoop and besides that it has a crease and bends upwards when you shut it. also the pass side has a dent below the pass side door and on the pass side 1/4 by the end of the spoiler lip. the dogleg on the DS fender has had some work done to it, not sure what but I was planning on trying to save it... windshield is cracked, front header panel area appears to have been cracked and covered with fiberglass then bondo just never smoothed out. The roof and areas around the glass appear to be in great shape, didnt find any rust There may be other problems with the car that Im forgetting or didnt see, Im starting the bidding out at $500. I have the title, it is signed but not in my name. What you see is what you get, its being sold AS IS. Ive seen the rear ends from these cars go for up to $500 by themselves. If you have specific questions let me know, I'll check and get back to you. Basically its either a job for someone with a solid parts car with no title or someone who appreciates the 74 Z28 lts as they are getting hard to find in any shape. It would also make a great donor car for a rat or hot rod project.... Ive tried to describe it to the best of my knowledge, its up to you to look at the pictures and see what youre getting. more pictures here http://imageshack.us/g/687/snc00242q.jpg/
