1988 Callaway Corvette Twin Turbo Convertible #90 of 125 produced The special edition Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette was available as a very limited production first appearing in 1987 under the $20,000 RPO B2K Callaway installed option and continued to be offered through 1991. Just over 500 Callaway Twin Turbo cars were produced. RPO B2K could be ordered from select dealers in the U.S. Corvette orders with the B2K option selected were shipped to Callaway Cars in Old Lyme, Connecticut for the Twin Turbo conversion directly from the Bowling Green assembly plant. For 1988, Callaway increased the stock performance over the 1987 model of the Twin Turbo Corvette to yield 382 hp and 562 lb·ft of torque. Up for sale is Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette #90, 4+3 Transmission, 50k orig., Greenwood style [not Greenwood] ground effect package, white, one re-paint, good paint work, still shines nice with a fresh wax. PLEASE NOTE: the clutch slips in high gears but does not smell burnt. I think it may need a new clutch or clutch pack in the overdrive unit, the clutch pack can cause this to happen. I changed the fluid in the overdrive unit and it does still operate (overdrive does work in 2, 3 and 4th gears as it should). This Corvette does still drive well, but does slip in high RPM's and high gears. This Corvette is not perfect, it would make a good driver or a nice C4 to restore back to mint condition. It has true black leather interior that's in good shape with wood grain, 12-way sport seats. The proper B2K Callaway Twin Turbo option code is in the option list located on the inside of the center console door. It has excellent tires on a set of very nice 17" BBS style ARE hex wheels. The tires are Goodyear 275/40/17 FSC's. This Callaway should, but does not have the original 5-Spoke Dymag Wheels. There is a minor wheel scrape on the lip of the drivers rear wheel, it can be seen in the photos attached. Good top, headlights operate. Runs and drives fine.
