This thing looks stock but is far from it. To do this, a patent-pending Electronic Interface Module "dubbed the "Opti-Box" is mounted in place of the stock ignition module and coil assembly. The signals from the Opti-Spark sensors are sent to the Opti-Box, and signals are generated to drive a multi-coil Direct Ignition system, which is completely distributorless! The DI system consists of four high-output ignition coils fired independently of the Opti-Spark's distributor cap and rotor. As a result, cap and rotor wear is no longer a factor in the equation. From a performance perspective, the distributorless ignition system is able to produce longer dwell time than a single coil system, even at high engine speeds "more coils equals more charge time for each coil!". The use of aftermarket Capacitive Discharge ignitions with the Opti-Direct system is also a possibility, since there is no longer the chance of arc-over in the distributor cap. High-load engines will benefit from this fact as well. The beauty of the Opti-Direct system is in its simplicity and reliability. No more issues from the problematic opti spark. Car is EXTREMELY fast. Mechanically sound. car is not a show car. this is a daily driver/weekend toy. Car has great potential and comes with a lot of extras, has rockfordfosgate speakers and infinity speakers through out. These replaced the factory premium sound speakers and are in the factory locations. Every thing is tastefull and has a factory look to it. Cd player is a panisonic and is older,everything in the car works but A/C is not blowing as cold as it should. I put some gauges on it and it appears to be low. A/c compressor does have some dye by it which means it is leaking and should be replaced. Drivers door is cracking at hinges and seam this is a common problem and comes with Perfect condition white door. Dash filler has a crack in it and the arm rest hinge broke on the center console . Car comes with a ton of Gm literature a press release package, new center caps, new strip kit, and over $10,000.00 worth of performance work done, way to much to list. Suspension is good mostly new. Tires, front are good but older z rated tires. rear are new Mickey Thompson Drag radials "cheater slicks street legal" car will turn these over no problem. All lights and power functions in working condition. Car was a Florida rebuilt tittle before i bought it. When i purchased it it had a clean Florida Title. It currently has a Clean Michigan Title. This does not mean when you plate it you will get a clean tittle depending on your states rules it could be a rebuilt title. I have included a picture of the Clean Michigan title. Also the car was not wrecked and salvaged all the times stated it was 1 time. The car was a Salvage title at one point due to a rear end collision which was not major just the car had alot of miles and needed 2 quarters hatch and rear tail lights and bumper. that puts it past half of the blue book value which means the insurance company will want to scrap it not fix it. Car drives straight at 125mph so the car is straight and right. i purchased this car in Florida and drove back to Michigan with no problems. everything mentioned above was done in the winter of 2008. car has had about 2000 miles put on it since. I would not recomend trying to drive this back if you live far, not saying it wouldnt make it but the car has sat for almost 2 years. However with that said it does start and stop and drive great. Starter will need to be replaced it is not extending the bendix all the time. Nada value on this car is as follows. $12,950.00 high, $11,700.00 average $8,850.00 low. this car would fall in between average and low. low according to them is a car in need of significant interior, paint and body work. this car needs a little TLC for the most part. if you put down new paint and graphic kit and fix the 2 minor problems on the inside this car would be well into the high range if not more due to the drive line. if i could i would not sell her! allot of hardwork and money went into her, good luck.
