Vehicle Detail

1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe with Rumble Seat. According to all of the information I found, all Sport Coupes had Rumble Seats, so I guess this isn't such a big deal. Let me start out by saying that I have a Clean and Clear Ohio State Title in my name, for this vehicle. The numbers on the Title match the numbers on the left side of the Frame. The Title says: "1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe". This car is definitely a Barn Find. I found it sitting in a basement shop in Georgia, where it had been for the past 17 years. The previous owner told me that it sat in a restoration shop for 20 years before he got it. Sitting inside really made this car last. The Steel in this car is unbelievable. It is practically a rust free car. There is one very small area, in the Rumble Seat Pan that had rust. The rest of the car is entirely clean and rust free. The Rear Wheel Wells are even clean and Rust Free. Sitting inside also made the wood for the top last. I think I have all of the wood and it is all in good condition and shows no signs of rot or decay. I do not have the Fabric top or Rear Window for the car. They were gone long ago. The Frame of the Car is solid and rust free. The Floors are solid and rust free. The Body has various dents and dings, but very solid and rust free. The Doors are nice. The Fenders and Running Boards are nice. The Right Front Fender does have a place where it was split, at one time and repaired. Both Front Fenders have dings in them. I do not have the Interior or the Rumble Seat for the car. The Doors have no Glass. The Windshield is present. I had it out in some of the pictures, but it is with the car. I have not tried to start the Engine. It may be good. It may be junk. The Transmission is the same. I have not run the car, so I do not know it's condition. For bidding purposes, you should consider both to be useless, although they are with the car. There are 4 19" Wheels on the car. The 2 Rear Wheels have White Wall Tires on them. The Front Wheels do not. I do not have the Hub Caps. The Radiator Shell is rusted, it looks like Brass in the pictures, but has a very light coating of rust. This must have been stored somewhere away from the rest of the car. I do not know if the Radiator is good or not. It may hold water, I did not put any in it. The Headlights and Headlight Bar are painted Silver, not Chrome. The Headlights are Sealed Beams units. This is probably an aftermarket kit. I do not think this car came with Sealed Beam Headlights. This Coupe is in great condition. It is solid enough to use for a restoration. It is solid enough to start a great Hot Rod Project without cutting up a show car. I am posting good pictures and a good description of the car. I will try to answer any questions through email. I have this Coupe listed locally. If I sell it, I will end the auction early, but I will not end the auction with 24 hours of the end of the Auction. I am listing this car with a low start price and no reserve. If it does not sell locally, I will sell it to the highest bidder. I can assist with delivery, for a fee, within a couple hundred miles of Canton, Ohio.
