Vehicle Detail

1966 Mustang GT Coupe 289 V8 Automatic Factory Disc Brakes Factory Air Conditioning Rally Pac GT Grille Mounted Driving Lamps Styled Steel Wheels This is a very solid "C" code Mustang.Still has the original rust free floors. This car underwent an extensive restoration in 1993, and was an award winning show car in the mid 1990s. Showing a little wear since then, but still a very nice Mustang. On the day these pictures were taken (8-18-2011) this car made a 110 mile road trip in temperatures over 100 degrees. Runs and drives great. Part of the GT Stripe is missing from the passenger side The 289 runs strong. Engine bay is clean and rust free. Interior is very nice. Trunk area is very clean The gray interior still looks almost new. The interior was redone in 1993. New Everything. Still looks great. Receipts for the 93 restoration come with the car. Three core radiator was also new in 93. At some point, someone used the deck lid as a table. It is scratched. A spot of rust on the rear quarter panel. Original Mustang power steering and C4 Automatic transmission Bottoms of the doors show no rust holes Original red coating on the bottom. No rust here. Frame Rails and Torque Boxes are not beat up or rusted. Front and Rear Valances were replaced in 93. No signs of damage today. We need a $500 deposit within 24 hrs of auction end. Please be prepared to pay in full within a week. Someone is getting a NICE Mustang!!! On Sep-16-11 at 08:03:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been scolded by a few of my fellow eBayers for referring to this car as a GT. No this car did not leave the factory in 1966 as it appears now. The Mustang underwent an extensive restoration in 1993 where the GT options were added. It was maintained as an award winning show car for a few years after that. 18 years later it is showing a bit of wear and tear, but the quality is still there. A little TLC could put this car right back in the winners circle.
