Vehicle Detail
1950 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This Truck is truly a Barn Find. It has been sitting inside dry storage since 1983. It hasn't been in the weather or seen direct sunlight in almost thirty years! The Truck is very complete, down to the Factory 16 inch Wheels and Hub Caps. The Truck is in very good condition. It is not mint, but is very nice. The Odometer show a little over 72000 miles. This is probably correct. The Cab is pretty solid. It does have some rust in the Cab Corners and in the Floor. The Original Steering Wheel is present, with the Horn Button. The Original Gauges are in tact. The Original Seat is torn, but is presentable. There is no Headliner. The Tool Box, behind the Seat is in good condition and is different from the other old Fords I've owned. There is no Floor Mat. The Glove Box Liner and Glove Box Door are both intact. Most of the Glass is good. The Passenger Window and both Vent Windows are cracked. The Hood is straight and rust free. The Fenders, Front and Rear are Fiberglass. This surprised me. I thought I'd found the nicest pair of 48 to 50 Ford Fenders on the planet! The Paint on the Truck has to be thirty years old. I guess they have been making fiberglass fenders for these trucks for a long time. The Doors are straight and solid. The Running Boards look good, but have plates bolted to the top. The Bed has a rust spot on the Driver's Side. The original Wood Bed Floor and Metal Bed Floor are both still present and intact. The Tail Gate is solid. There is rust on the panel on the bottom side of the Tail Gate. The 6 Cylinder Engine is complete down to the Air Cleaner. It starts right up, idles smoothly and runs well. The transmission shifts well through the gears. The Clutch feels weak. The Brakes are up and working. I replaced the Master Cylinder and some other Brake Parts. I did not replace the entire Brake System, only what was needed. The Tires are old and need replaced. The Front Bumper is original and looks good. The Rear Bumper is missing. Overall, this is a nice looking old Ford. It can be driven and enjoyed, with little effort. I am posting good pictures and description and will answer any questions through email. This Truck is advertised locally, so I must reserve the right to end the auction, should it sell. If it does not sell locally, it will sell to the highest bidder without reserve. This truck was listed on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. The winning bidder was unable to complete the sale, so I am listing it again, with no reserve. I can assist with delivery, for a fee, within a couple hundred miles of Canton, Ohio.
