Vehicle Detail
This cute little hatchback has been well-loved and well-maintained by a "car guy." I used this car for everything from errands around town to roadtrips to Boston and New York City! As with any car of this age, certain components are likely to need adjustment or replacement. This car comes with the following work having been done in the past year: New tires (all four)New brake drumsNew brake pads and rotors up frontNew brake master cylinderBrake fluid flushedCoolant flushedRadiator and thermostat replacedRubber crank seal replaced (this is a hard-to-get-at seal that dried up and was leaking oil. It should last for many years.)Timing belt changed out at 70,000New composite headlight assemblies (crystal clear hard plastic - the stock headlights on these cars get yellow and hazy. These are like new!)Handbrake adjustedNew cat-back exhaust (that means a new muffler and pipe connecting the muffler to the catalytic converter, which is a coffee-can shaped thing that hangs off of the exhaust manifold.) The exhaust is about 1.5 years old - it has some surface rust but should last a solid few years of heavy use. New wiper blades! :-)It has a fun Sony mp3/cd player installed with all four speakers working! You can hook your iPod directly to the front of the head unit. You can see this in the photos. The interior has a few discolorations on the carpet but it's really quite clean. It smells "like car", not "like old mashed potatoes" or "cup of spilled coffee from 1997". There is a black "sports bra" on the front. It makes you feel like you're in a little race car, when really you're going 60mph. I can put wheel covers on the wheels if you want, I just never got around to it. They are the stock 13" wheels. The only downside to this car may be the heater core. The heater core is like a mini-radiator but it is inside the firewall - it is what makes the heat blow hot air. I think there may be a tiny leak in it -- even though it's not leaking now, I have reason to believe that there may be a slow leak developing, so you'll want to keep an eye on it or have your mechanic take a look up in there. A new heater core is about $39.79 from rockauto.com -- if you can get your grandpa or uncle to install it for you over a weekend, you're in business! This car is not registered at this time and is in my garage in Waterford, NY.On Aug-21-11 at 17:39:31 PDT, seller added the following information: This vehicle is equipped with Air Conditioning, which is freshly charged and blows cold.Delivery is available within 400 miles of zip code 12188 at a charge of $2.00 per mile.
