1971 Volvo 142 S Located in Los Angeles, California. White on black with rebuilt B20. including Head with hardened exhaust valve seats (For unleaded fuel). It also gives more miles between resetting the valves(tune ups). I bought the car from a mechanic in the Valley. He had bought the car in Palm Springs. This is a very dry car. All external lights work, Fan and heater work. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt to OEM specs. Engine is B20B. Transmission is a stick shift 4 speed. New clutch installed and the Drive Shaft was rebuilt. I think I have had some more accessories replaced. If something needed to be replaced I had it replaced. Fuel and Temp gauges work. Brakes work well. New parts in the suspension inc. lower ball joints and A arm bushings. Some new bushings replaced in the rear suspension. Paint is okay but has had some minor touch ups. The aluminum trim around the windows is excellent, close to new condition; very unusual. All the external trim is excellent. Rims are from a 240 Turbo, they have usable tires that will get you where your going. The spare tire is in good shape too, with jack and lug nut wrench. The car is not perfect but it is in a very good condition. I haven’t personally seen a nicer one, more than the one, that I picked up new in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1969(142s White with red interior and 4speed overdrive transmission.) Wife says cars have to go in other words management has decided that we’re downsizing. On a happier note: The California-original smog-sticker is still intact under the hood so this is an original California car. I also have the original factory build sheet in the car, a real peace of Volvo history. I have the original owners manual too. The front seats have been redone in leather, the rear seats are still good and the dash-cover is not cracked. Sound system is HD radio with two new 9x6 speakers.This is a very good looking Southern California Desert car that drives well and has never disappointed me. It has had perfect reliability.
