Welcome to the auction of my 1960 Cadillac two door hardtop Old School Rat Rod Driveable Project car with custom air ride suspension. Please read all of the information below to get a full description of the car. I HAVE DECIDED TO MAKE THIS A NO RESERVE AUCTION SO THE HIGHEST BIDDER WILL WIN THE CHANCE TO OWN THIS RARE CADILLAC! This is a very fast air bag system that includes 1/2" lines, twin 5 gallon air tanks and twin Viair 460c air compressors. It has a fully programmable digital handheld controller that allows you to set your ride height easily and individual control over each air bag. It will also let you do front, back and side to side and gives you preset options. The car gets to about 2" off the ground with the airbags completely deflated and is still driveable at this height. Exterior This is a true solid Southern car, the lack of harsh winters with road salting and the mild climate have preserved the car well through the years. The floor pans, rockers, doors, front fenders, inner fenders, hood, decklid, weather strip lips, trunk floor, tail light panel, roof skin, windshield pillar posts, cowl and firewall, frame and suspension components, fender skirts, fins, front grill and bumpers are all extremely solid. Overall the body is very solid. The car has been painted with Kustom Shops Hot Rod Flats metallic flat black paint. The paint job is not perfect and has some runs, but it is a good driver quality paint job. All of the factory original trim (as seen in pictures) is present and in good driver quality condition. The car has 1959 model taillights. All of the original glass is present. The front and back glass, the vents and the driver's side window are free from cracks. There are a few cracks in the quarter glasses and the passenger side door glass. Interior The seats have been done in a custom white tuck and roll with black piping trim. A matching white headliner and black carpet finish out the look. The dash is uncut and undamaged and retains the original radio and gauges. The original dash pad has a few cracks from weathering. All of the original window trim pieces are present and in good condition. Most of the original chrome trim is present and in good condition a few pieces may not be present but at least 95% of the pieces are with the car. The car has power windows and all are in good working condition. Drivetrain The car is equipped with the original 390 cubic inch V8 motor. The motor starts and runs smoothly and does not smoke. The original Cadillac Jet Away 3 speed automatic transmission runs and drives smoothly. The car is equipped with power steering, power drum brakes and all of the original A/C components are present. The power steering works but has a leak that needs to be repaired. The brakes have been rebuilt with new shoes and spring kits, but it does need a new master cylinder and brake booster. The A/C needs to have a little work done and a good charge to blow cold. The rear end in this car is stock original. With a little work this car could be a daily driver, I would suggest a few things such as a good tuneup, work on the A/C, some brake work and fixing the power steering. Most of the work needed is easily accomplished and shouldn't be too much of a problem. Wheels The car has a new set of Cadillac old school 15" wire wheels with a new set of radial wide white wall tires. These are included in the auction. About 90 % of the work needed on this car has been done already. With a little more work and a few more pieces this car would be a perfect daily driver that would turn heads and be an enjoyable weekend cruiser. Remember that this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. THE HIGHEST BIDDER WILL OWN THIS REALLY RARE OLD SCHOOL '60 CADILLAC!!! TITLE: Georgia is a non-title state for vehicles older than 1986 & didn't even start issuing titles for new cars at all until 1961. That means that when this 60 Caddy was sold brand new, it was sold with no title. Therefore this Cadillac is exempt from title here & has no title. However, if you live in a state which requires a vehicle of this year to be titled, I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE PAPERWORK YOU NEED TO GET YOUR TITLE QUICKLY & EASILY. This means the winning bidder will get a T-7 bill of sale, a state VIN inspection certificate& an official letter from the state of GA confirming that this vehicle is exempt from title in this state. This paperwork will allow you to register the vehicle if you live in a non-title state such as Georgia. This paperwork will also automatically transfer into an actual title if you live in a state which requires a title on a vehicle of this year. I know some of you may be thinking that your tag office is hard to deal with & they just will not issue you a title if you don't have a title from the seller. I understand your hesitation but please believe me when I tell you... they have absolutely no choice but to issue you a title on this vehicle. Every County in every State is governed by the rules of the United States Department Of Transportation. The law says that if a vehicle is brought from a non-title state into a title requiring state & there is valid paperwork from the non-title state... the title requiring state MUST issue a clean, clear, title for that vehicle in the new state. It's the law & no matter how hard to deal with your tag office may be, they WILL issue you a title. There are several states which don't require titles on older vehicles. If there wasn't a unified law to cover these vehicles nationwide, people who moved from a non-title state to a new state may very well find that their very valuable classic automobiles couldn't be tagged in the their new home state, that is not the case. No one has had any trouble obtaining their title with the information I provide. You won't either. It is as easy as a regular transfer of ownership.
