Motor is stock (No Mods), New Alternator, Dual Exhaust w/ No Cat HAVE THIS CAR PAINTED AND YOU'LL HAVE A $6500+ CAR!!! THIS IS A REAL GT W/ 4.6L This was a trade-in and I have been driving it for the past week. This car has plenty of power! Motor and Transmission are good and strong, no rattles, squeaks or leaks that I have noticed anywhere! Clutch is as new, goes in to each gear as it should with no issues. Interior could use a good cleaning but there is no wear or tear. I would rate the interior 7 out of 10 and the exterior 5 out of 10 (needs a paint job, which I can have professionally done for $1500.00 extra) ! Issues That I have found: *Speedometer does not work but, I have ordered the VSS which will resolve this issue. *Window Tint is horrible and needs replaced or removed *Body has some minor dents and scraps. *Front bumper needs painted to match. I have took the liberty of taking close up pictures to show that the structure behind and around bumper is not harmed and does not show signs of damage. Someone has just replaced the factory bumper with a nice looking aftermarket. No signs of an accident to the front end. Driving Impressions In this class, horsepower and acceleration at a reasonable price are what matter, and the Mustang 4.6-liter V8 has plenty of each. While the new modular single overhead-cam V8 engine doesn't have the loud and lumpy idle quality and ferocious intake roar of the old 5.0-liter overhead-valve V8, it has almost exactly the same power and torque characteristics and accelerates at almost exactly the same rate, with 0-60 mph times in the low 6-second range. That's quick. The new V8 will pull happily to 6000 rpm, making the driving experience that much more fun. The 4-speed automatic may be the better choice for those who have to commute in heavy traffic and there's little loss in performance. But the new Borg-Warner T-56 5-speed manual is more fun with a 225-hp V8 engine. The gearbox shifts smoothly and mates well to an engine that features a flexible powerband and sufficient strength to take high-rpm shifts for the life of the car. The 1998 Mustang chassis is essentially the same as the 1979 Mustang. It has been reinforced to make the car handle more crisply, steer more accurately, and deal with road shocks more effectively. God Bless America On Aug-26-11 at 09:54:30 PDT, seller added the following information: update 08-26 FYI Changed VSS(vehicle speed sensor), took about 10 minutes. The VSS did not fix the speedometer as the plastic gear on the end of the VSS is also bad. It ofcourse did not come with the new part. Called the dealership and the parts department says the new gear is anywhere between $5-50.00 but they need the number of teeth and color of the gear. Ofcourse I've done put it back in the car so, I don't have that info right on hand.
