1978 Honda CB

NO RESERVE, 1978 CB750K SURVIVOR, 3,610 MILES. This bike has sat in three consecutive garages for over 25 years w/almost no use here in Connecticut after purchased with 2704 miles in 1986 in Chicago (have title of his), next owner I bought from never even registered, I registered with 3528 miles. Other indications of low original miles include perfect original sprocket, original chain, non-faded gauges, original seat, appear to be original brake pads, but don't have additional documentation so bid accordingly. It's an excellent bike to ride as is or restore to show condition with cosmetics as everything appears original. Selling because it just isn't ridden. Positives All original from seat to pipes to paint Newer Bridgestone tires with under 250 miles with wheels balanced/trued All electrical components work correctly (lights/blinkers/starter/brake light/etc.) Motor/Trans runs well as you'd expect Miscellaneous: Muffler inserts still installed/Gas tank inside not rusty All original emblems/paint/decals present Chrome is in good driver shape Seat and rubber items in very good condition with no tears or punctures Original owners manual/One key set including fork lock Negatives One center (right) carb float is stuck so gas overflows from bowl when running and I'm selling as is versus cleaning them again Hydraulic seal on front disk brake has started to leak and will need to be replaced The burgundy paint is in good condition, but there is a minor spot I can see corrosion starting under the paint on the left side of the tank (can see in photo above the "H" in Honda emblem None of the emblems are broken, but some of the paint has started to flake off the background and the right hand side cover has a crack in the bottom quarter (can't see in photos, wouldn't notice) One item I have found missing are the gold colored trim strips along the bottom/side of the tank, these simply clip on/off (clips still present) Terms Bike is being sold as a no reserve auction starting at $100, although I reserve the right to sell locally or end auction. This bike is over 30 years old and even with low miles buyer should expect reasonable wear, tear and corrosion that occurs even during indoor storage.
