1966 Cadillac Eldorado convertible in very good, near original condition that runs well, and is a very dependable vehicle. This is the final year of the rear wheel drive Eldorados and is a valuable collector car that is practical and can be used for daily fun in the sun. This car was built without the air conditioner option and does not have climate control - just manually operated heat and vent switches/slides. The car is solid with no rot or previous repairs, just a respray of the original Firemist Gold about thirty years ago, and it is not perfect but very presentable. The paint has some minor finish issues and has about six inches of minor bubbling at both rear quarter panels by the stainless moulding as it ends and has been touched up. The interior is original and in beautiful condition as you can see in the pictures. It has factory perforated leather upholstory, electric windows and seats that operate smoothly, am-fm radio, cruise control (inoperative), and the top appears original with a glass rear window and good operation. The carpet is original and in very good condition with factory floor mats from new and the only interior flaws are two small screw holes in the underside of the passenger dash from a CB radio that was removed, and the cloth behind the rear seat where the top stows is worn and tearing. It has the original convertible top boot in excellent shape stored in the near-perfect trunk with all tools, spare cover, etc... We purchased this several years ago from a neighbor who had stored it since 1983 in a climate controlled garage and he was the second owner. Upon purchase I replaced all tune up parts, brakes, brake hoses, exhaust, battery, and installed Prestige white/gold wall tires designed exclusively for Cadillac. Everything works fine but the cruise control. We drive it often in the Summer but have too many toys and would like to find this one a good home. The Turbo 400 transmission shifts smoothly and the engine purrs powerfully throughout all ranges of use.
