Vehicle Detail
Bottom Line Up Front: This is a gorgeous car that I purchased since getting back from Afghanistan in March. My sons and I did some work (all of which you will see below), and this car is awesome. The car shows 55,900 miles and I honestly believe it is correct; although I cannot guarantee it. The body is in awesome shape, the interior is immaculate. You will not be disappointed. I drive the car as a daily driver (100) miles a day on it… and I actually get about 15 miles to the gallon (not bad for a strong 400 moving a car this size up and down the hills). Also, if the vehicle sells in the next week… expect that the miles will be about 400-500 higher. I was told the paint is about 10 years old and it shows extremely nice. There are a couple of imperfections throughout. The rear quarter on the PS has a good size scratch in the paint (not noticeable 10feet out). The car is dent free! It is for sale locally because I only have 30 days to sell it, or the Navy (I am a Military Chaplain) will have to store it for me because they are sending me to Japan for a year. Car: 1967 Pontiac (2dr Coupe) Bonneville 6.6L (400), 4bbl Original build sheet shows that this car is equipped with XW Engine Block which came out of the factory at 325HP. Below are the things I have already completed: New Parts, and Completed Work/Maintenance: Engine/Drive Train/ Misc..: New Rear Main Engine Seal, New Motor Mounts, New Transmission Mount, New Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold and Gasket, New Edelbrock Performer Carburetor, Electric Choke 600CFM, New K&N Air Filter, New FlowMaster Mufflers, New 2.5” Exhaust from Manifold back (with Chrome tips), New Chrome Valve Covers, New Chrome Air Cleaner Cover, New 3 Row Radiator, New Air Fan, Mechanical/Pulley (Larger Fins), New Electrical Fan (automatically engages when engine is above 160), New Hoses (Radiator, Heater, and Vacuum), New Distributor Cap and Points, New Plugs, New Plug Wires, New Coil, New Voltage Regulator, New Alternator, New Water Pump and Gasket, New Thermostat (160 degrees), New Fuel Pump, New Alternator and Power-steering Belts, New Shocks all around, New Rear Coil Springs, New Rear Wheel Seals (only PS installed so far (it was the only one leaking)), Transmission was flushed and filter was changed at 51500 miles. Differential was flushed at 51500 miles. Exterior: Windows Tinted, New Mirrors, only installed PS since the DS is wired differently than expected. Interior: Add a tasteful cupholder/cubby that straddles the drive-train hump. New Kenwood Radio (CD/MP3/IPOD/USB compatible) with Remote, New 6x9 Speakers (Rear only) no holes have been cut to add additional Speakers, In the process of adding two additional Seatbelts (only had 4 original, I have added the center Front, still need to add center back (have part)). Added (3) gauges under the dash (Water Temp, Voltage, and Oil Pressure). Installed two extra seat belts (now have a total of (6) in the vehicle). Needed to be done still and/or Recommendations: Would recommend getting larger tires (current tires are smaller than originals which causes the speedometer to be off by 6 mph when traveling at speeds in excess of 70 (again… I live in Southern CA). Current tires have great tread on them.
