Up for auction is my 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible. I acquired it 5 years ago from the 2nd owner. Prior to 2006, it had been garaged since last registered in 1988. Last inspection remnants on windshield and transferrable registration expiring in 1988 support this. I bought it to restore but have not had the time . If it does not meet reserve, I will hold on to it until my work schedule allows me the time to restore it . This will only be offered one time on E-bay. Specifics..... Original #'s matching Rocket 350 2bbl , #matching trans. Open rear. Buckets and console. Power Convertible top functions properly. A/C Blows Ice Cold. Original radio lights up but no Sound. All lights and wipers work. No leaks in Cooling system. No oil leaks aside from normal seepage at gaskets. Trans leaks a little at the speedo seal and pan. 6 Years ago, I replaced the Master Cylinder and Brake booster and Heater core. Oil , filter and coolant was serviced at that time. Tires are brand new with under 100 miles. Rims are from a Mid 80's Cutlass. Included with sale are the 4 original steel rims and original hubcaps that were on the car when I got it. Power steering functions properly with no leaks. Trunk is dry and rock solid. Original Jack, lug wrench and bias ply spare. Orig trunk mat still stuck down to trunk floor. Odometer reads 27,326 . I believe it has been around. Odometer and speedometer function properly. Motor starts and runs like a clock. Idles smooth. No smoke, no knocks, no ticking. Car can sit for months and after a few pumps and a few cranks, fires right up. Battery is brand new (1mo old) and includes a battery disconnect switch added at the same time as new batt. Convertible top functions properly, no damage to frame or pump & cyls. Top does need to be replaced. Includes orig glass rear window. I did drive the car about 15 miles home from the shop I had the work done at and trans shifted well. Fluid is clean . The front calipers are currently sticking a little. I was able to pull the car out of the garage for the pic's but it was like I was powerbraking it when I put it back in. I would figure that to be a driver, it will need the calipers replaced along with the front pads. Master cyl and booster are new (6yr ago but under 100 miles on it) Interior: Bucket seats can use upholstry. fine for a driver, all mechanisms function properly. Door and rear side panels in very good cond. Console is excellent. Has original wood ball on shifter handle. Console door opens properly. Missing the ash tray door( I have it but 1 tab is broken), dash has no cracks. Carpet is faded and has a wear hole. Driver quality but should be replaced. Rear seat is very good orig cond. All windows work properly. No cracks in windshield but there may be a small chip here and there. Body: Floors and trunk are rock solid. Doors are rust free. Hood and trunk have surface rust but no rot. Front fenders need patch panels or replacmen t. They have rot in the bottoms behind the wheels. 1/4 panels need lower patch panels behind the wheels and a few small spots in the wheel lip. IN NO WAY do they need to be replaced. The upper portions around the convt top and trunk drip well are rock solid and perfect. Some dings and scrapes around. bumpers are fine for a driver, but both have a few tweaks and dings. rear bumper has factory cutouts for duals. Car cuffently has single exht. Tail light lenses are good. Grilles are original can could stand a re freshing as theyre a little faded. Needs paint. (Clearly in pics) Car in pics is dusty, just as it was driven out of the garage. Frame is solid and aside from surface rust, in great condition. No rot or damage. NO TRADES. CASH ONLY IN PERSON or BANK CHECK by mail.
