Up for auction here once again because of dedbeet bidder walshs-muscle is my 65 Impala convertible that I purchased from the second owner over 7 years ago.It was originally ermine white with red interior.This impala is very nicely optioned with a/c(very rare in a convertible),tinted glass,power steering and power brakes along with power top.All of the convertible parts are present and are in fair shape but I assume everything needs gone thru.The body is in good to fair conditon,none of the outside panels will need replaced.There is rust at the bottom of both fenders and the drivers door has some in the corners but the bottom is solid.No rust on the car has been hidden with filler so where you see rust on the body is all that it has.The floor is shot in this car.I had a one piece replacement floor for it but sold it to a friend several months ago when I decided to let the car go.The big thing with this car is its excellent frame which if you know impalas is almost non existent even out west and often hard to find in the hardtops as well.This car was stored in a warehouse for many years and that no doubt saved this one.There are no weak places or crusty places anywhere including the very back half where the bumper bolts to it which is almost always in bad shape.There is surface rust but thats nothing to worry about and I have included a pic of where the rear bumper bolts to the frame to show it is solid.The very bottom of the drivers side quarter will need a patch as it is starting to rust out there.The trunk pan is still in the car but it will need replaced as it has some holes in it.The original hood and trunk lid had some pretty good dents so I found good solid replacements for it which are on the car now.The windshield is gone as well as the drivers door glass.The bucket seats are only frames as the guy I got it from was going to replace foam and everything but I would toss them for better cores.The car has a 67 275hp 327 code HC with the original 65 valve covers.The heads are double hump as they should be.It has locked up from sitting but is defineately a good rebuildable motor.I was told the original motor was blowed by the first owner.I do not know if it was a 300hp or 250hp originally.The muncie was stolen long ago and never replaced but it does still have its manual bellhousing and flywheel along with the clutch linkage.The rear end is of course the 12 bolt and if I remember right the ratio is 3.31 but not sure of that.The car is missing its radiator,air cleaner and a/c compressor but little else.The car is 46 years old and everything needs gone through but its the right car to do.I do not have the title to it.The guy I got it from could not find it and the car was long out of the system for him to be able to get a duplicate but I will provide a bill of sale.I think I have covered all that I can but surely missed something so ask questions.The car is located 3 hours from me in sardinia ohio zip code 45171.I will only accept a cashiers check or cash as payment.Also,because of walshs-muscle if you have less than 30 on your feedback then please do not bid or I will cancel.Too many people like that loser like to use no feedback accounts to play games and never honor the auctions they bid on.Also,I will be happy to help in loading the car if a shipper is used and the car is not in the way so no major rush on picking it up but I would like to have it gone within 4 weeks.
