1971 VW Super Beetle Convertible Restored With A/C The total restoration was completed in 2009 and is driven almost daily!!! It has been driven to many car shows around Texas!!! The car was a complete car when we started the restoration and had very few miles on it but had been sitting for several years!!! This car is RUST FREE and has the ORIGINAL FLOOR PANS still in it!!!This car is in near perfect condition with only some minor stone chips in the paint!!!The car was originally bought with a dealer installed A/C which works great!!!New hoses,dryer,and a rebuild of the compressor were done during the restoration!!! The motor has been upgraded to a 1641 dual port, counter weighted crank, Engle 110 cam and alternator!!! The clutch ans axles were done as well!!! All the brakes, wheel bearings, shocks and steering linkage were also restored!!! The interior was all replaced!!! New interior panels, seat covers and padding and carpeting were installed!!! The convertible top, canvas style, padding, headliner and convertible top boot were all replaced!!! All rubber seals and windshield were also replaced!!! Chrome wheels and new tires were replaced and have about 6000 miles since the restoration!!! If you looked at the pictures you will see that we installed early style bumpers, which can be switched back easily, along with a custom steering wheel and Gene Berg shifter about 1 year ago!!! There is over $25,000 invested in this car and we are only selling to make way for another car that we are building!!! You will not find a finer bug anywhere to drive and take to the shows!!!
