This is an almost mint, very low miles 1958 BMW R26. Miles since engine rebuild are 169 The bike has been in a garage for the three years I have owned it Runs great, everything works Comes with 6 volt Battery Tender trickle charger 250cc Single Cilinder This bike was on ebay a few months ago with some problems and a higher price than currently listed. Since then, those problems have been fixed or identified. Problem 1(FIXED): The bike would not go above 38mph. This turned out to be a simple timing issue. This has been fixed and the bike now runs like a dream. Problem 2: Dent on gas tank. I attempted to fix the small dent on the gas tank. While digging into this I discovered that the "Dover White" color already on the bike was not the correct Dover White. So if I patched the paint, it would not match. The "proper" thing to do would be to strip the bad paint off the bike and repaint the bike with the correct color and put a new tank on the bike with matching paint. Since this would cost about 2K, I am taking 2K off the previous price of 7K. Of course problem 2 is cosmetic. The bike recently received the royal treatment at Max BMW and is in full tip top shape. If you choose to fix problem 2 then I would HIGHLY recommend having your work done at Max BMW (www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com) at their Connecticut store.
