Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a beautiful 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. V6, Twin Turbo, 6 Speed Manual, All Wheel Drive, All Wheel Steering, Active Aero, and more. This car is not salvaged, has been fully rebuilt. I bought this car under a year ago and put a lot of work into it. It was my first project car and I wanted to have something fun to work on. Here is the list of work completed:New Radiator (2/2011)New Coolant Fan (2/2011)New Starter (1/2011)New Batter (1/2011)New Stereo System, with built in GPS, backup camera, DVD player, MP3 player, and handsfree phone calls and play music through your phone with Bluetooth - full surround sound (12/2010)New Power Steering Rack (11/2010)Replaced Rear Calipers (11/2010)Replaced Left Front Axle (11/2010)New Alternator (11/2010)New Tires and an Alignment (11/2010)Passed inspection in November after break work (11/2010)Cars runs and handles great. There are a few problems:Missing Sunroof/Moonroof Screen, you can close it, but you always see the glassPower Steering Fluid Leak - This car has AWS (All-Wheel-Steering), the valve to the back tires has a leak, I have not found this leak yet so I keep the AWS off (there is a switch to toggle it). This is a common problem with the VR4s, to fix it with a All Wheel Steering Delete Kit is $125 for a kit, I just wanted to keep my AWS so I didn't get the kit yet.Engine - Just hit 100,000 miles and went through some coolant issues, had to replace the radiator and coolant fan, I suspect the engine may go soon. Engines for this car aren't cheap, have found for around $4,000 - passed up a few good deals for a lot less because I don't need one yetMinor tear on driver's seat upholsteryNo serious rust problems, front break calibers look like they may need to be replaced soon. The rear ones cost me $300 for both.Comes with spare tires and rims (Rims are custom 18in black with polished lip), has a spare tire in trunk as well. Only has one key copy, comes with keyless entry. Includes all the great features the car has, power steering, AWS, ABS, power windows, hand-cranked sunroof (it was '95, apparently that was too crazy to make powered), powered mirrors, and boost control (has dual turbo - car has not ever been racing, only seen the highway, but have recorded my own 0-60mph at 2.2 seconds, and have reached 120mph and still drives beautifully, calculated max speed is 190mph), has over 350hp with Active Aero. Please know that in the time I have driven this I have put on less than 3000 miles and have gotten pulled over for speeding 3 times. Being sold AS-IS. I am selling this car because I have just bought a 1975 Corvette that has some work I need to do to it, and this car has sucked up a lot of my time and got me a few points on my license.
