I have a 1948 5 window Chevy pickup truck in excellent condition. Everything is original, except for color and wheels. It's got a 6 volt system with two 6 volt batteries that would allow it to start like if it were a 12 volt battery. Once running, switches to 6 volt, provided by an aftermarket solenoid. This beautiful truck runs and drives excellent. Motor and drivetrain doesn't show a visual leak (no drip) but you'l see it moist on the rear main of the motor. No smoke but every 1,500 miles it will need half to a quart of oil. I drive this truck as much as I can to and from work on good weather. Brakes have been replaced and it stops straight and even.
