1965 Ford Mustang Beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Thank you for viewing our auction for this 1965 ford Mustang. This classic vehicle has recently undergone a substantial mechanical restoration and it now looks, runs and drives awesome. If you have any questions feel free to call (call info at bottom of auction page) or email us. EXTERIOR BODY/ PAINT: The paint color is the original shade of Silver – Blue Metallic. The jambs, trunk…etc all match color. It was repainted some time in the past, however it is an older restoration. Some minor flaws in the paint but overall, very presentable for a nice driver. There is a minor bubble on the lower front portion of the passenger side door. INTERIOR: The interior on the vehicle is very nice, but again, a product of an older restoration. The door panels and arm rests / bases are new. The rest of the upholstery is good, but not new, as can be seen in the photos. All gauges work, windows roll up and down as normal due to the new scissor assemblies and rollers. Newer aftermarket steering wheel and AM/FM stereo, CD player and speakers. The interior looks good and is fully functional! Engine/Transmission/Differential: Powered by a rebuilt 302 4v V8 engine out of an ’89 5.0 Mustang, this motor is strong and said to only have around 10000 miles on it, barely broken in. Nicely detailed with an aluminum 4v intake, 4v 600cfm Edelbrock carburetor, chrome valve covers, and aircleaner lid and a Griffin Aluminum radiator. Newer belts and hoses. The engine compartment is very clean and nicely detailed with a chrome alternator and billet pulleys. The car does have a gear drive timing system, which can be heard in the video. The Mustang also has a newer fuel system including a new fuel tank. The transmission is a remanufactured performance C4 by TCI transmissions. A smart transmission with a crisp shift. The driveshaft was rebalanced with new u-joints installed. The rear differential is a stock 8 inch, unknown gear ratio. Custom dual exhaust, headers, turbo mufflers and chrome exhaust tips out the rear, very nice! Should provide years of enjoyment with continued proper care and service! Brakes, Steering, Suspension and Structure The brake system on this beautiful Mustang has been rebuilt with new shoes, brake hoses and wheel cylinders. The suspension and steering components that required replacement, were replaced. The wheels are newer American Racing Torque Thrust II’s with BF Goodrich radial T/A tires. There is no rust on the floor pans, frame rails, torque boxes or shock towers. Nice and straight.
