UP FOR BID IS A 2 OWNER 2000 NISSAN MAXIMA. PURCHASED LOCALLY FROM ORIGINAL OWNER. WHEN PURCHASED THE AUTO WOULD HESITATE, BUT ONCE RUNNING FOR A FEW MINUTES, IT WOULD LEVEL OUT, AND RUN FINE. UPON DOING RESEARCH, I CHANGED THE MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR, AND IT RAN FINE, THEN REVERTED TO ORIGINAL CONDITION. I AGAIN REPLACED THE MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR, ADDED NEW FUEL PUMP, NEW ALTERNATOR, SERPENTINE BELT, NEW STARTER, NEW CRANKSHAFT SENSOR, NEW CAMSHAFT SENSOR, NEW TEMPERATURE SENSOR, NEW IDLE AIR CONTROL SENSOR, NEW BATTERY (FEB 2010), NEW SPARK PLUGS. ALL ITEMS PURCHASED NEW, AND VERIFICATION CAN BE OBTAINED FROM LOCAL AUTOZONE,NAPA, OR ADVANCED AUTO. EXCEPT FOR THE IDLE CONTROL SENSOR WHICH WAS PURCHASED ON EBAY. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS 145,667 ACTUAL MILES. WHEN IT RUNS, IT RUNS WELL, WITH STRONG ENGINE, WITH NO OIL/TRANSMISSION LEAKS, OR ENGINE KNOCKS. BUT SOMETIMES WHEN YOU TRY TO START IT, IT CRANKS LIKE IT IS NOT GETTING FUEL, THEN IT STARTS. IF YOU HEAR THE FUEL PUMP, GUARANTEED TO START. I WOULD DESCRIBE IT AS A "SOMETIME" CAR, AND MY SON DOES NOT WANT TO PUT ANYMORE MONEY INTO IT. AIR CONDITIONER WORKS, BUT NEEDS ADDITIONAL CHARGE, IT COOLS, BUT IN TESTING, IT WAS BLOWING AT 59-60 DEGREES. SUNROOF IS OPERATIONAL, ALONG WITH STRONG STEREO SYSTEM. TIRES ARE IN GOOD CONDITON. ALSO, THERE IS A MUFFLER MOUNT THAT NEEDS REPAIRED. ROTORS AND BRAKES ARE IN FAIR CONDITION, AND MAY NEED REPLACED. I AM NOT A MECHANIC, AND LISTING IS HONEST AND TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. CAR IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WITH NO RETURN. HAS NUMEROUS DINGS, WITH RUST AROUND REAR WHEEL WELLS.On Aug-13-11 at 19:06:09 PDT, seller added the following information: I would like to post my answer to question asked: "It runs, is it operational?" Yes the car starts and runs. I was driving it back and forth to work, and around town. My son said he didnt want to spend anymore money on vehicle, so I parked it, and went back to driving my truck. I can drive the vehicle for a month, then one day I can go out, and it will crank but not start. Then thirty minutes later, I will try, and it will start right up. That's why I refer to it as a "sometimes" car. I have added items listed in post. Took it to Buckeye Nissan, and because check engine light would not come on, they could not diagnose problem, only to say fuel pump, and fuel pump is new, 3 to be exact (kept replacing under warranty) In closing, I could go out right now, drive it and have no problems; Or, I could drive it to grocery store, come out and it not start, call my wife to pick me up( vica-versa), go back an hour later, and it will start like a new one. Truthfully submitted, and this is as honest as I can be about the vehicle.
