Hello up for sale is a great opportunity to build a real 1970 buick gs 455. Clear title in hand. Sloan documentation to prove 4637 vin car that makes it a real gs 455. Project car that has so many parts its unbelievable and took many years to come across and aquire. This car was a race car before we got it. We started to gather the things needed to do a modest restore. We took it apart and never got around to putting it back together. The car ran great and was extremelly fast and a active race car before we took it apart. It was fully functional as a race car and ran extremely well. Was one of the fastest buicks around. The frame is good and the floors are solid except small patches in the corners where the roll cage was. I tried to take close ups of the body to show the shape. Not alot of rust and great if you are leaving it a race car. The trunk pan was cut for the fuel cell. If you want a race car this is a pretty easy project or you could go back to stock if you wish. The point is there is thousands in parts and thousands in the two engines. You could pop the race engine in and take a little time to put this back together right and go racing fairly easily. It is up to you to bring it up to what you want. I dont think you will every find more buick parts in one place like this. All this stuff is hard to find and very expensive. I will try to list everything and I tried to take pictures but ebay only gives me 24 pictures which was not enough. Everything listed is good parts and usable. It comes with 2 engines. A 430 that was built strictly for racing that has t/a performace stage 1 manifold, t/a stage 1 iron replacement worked 1237661 heads, t/a stage 2 or possibly 3 rockers and girdles complete assemblies, I say they might be stage 3 because the look wider to accomodate for the offset and the 3's were wider. Not sure though. Just those few engine parts alone are about 3000 dollars just check the t/a performance website. The machine work , rotating assembly and engine assembly would add another 3-5000 dollars. Topped of with a holley carb and poston buick valve covers. I was told the rotating assembly is t/a as well I cannot confirm this because it was running great when pulled and freshly rebuilt when I got it so I never disassembled it. Electric water pump etc. Way to much to list. The guy said he had around 10,000 just parts in the engine not including machine and assembly and I believe it by the way it ran. We all know thats easy to do with the cost of the high end stuff. Also included is a fresh from the machine shop 455 block and caps casting 1241785, crank, heads 1231786 and a Rare poston buick brand new s divider intake manifold, partial pistons and rod set with arp studs. Full new set of main and rod bearings. Almost complete. The 430 and 455 can interchange the parts between them they are from the same block family outside of pistons of course. A race built 400 turbo trans with tci shield as well. I will try to list all the parts although I may miss a few. Really it is tons of stuff. car itself which is very restorable. Frame is good and complete front end all bushings, ball joints, links etc all just replaced and never used. 2 engines 1 race ready to go 430, 1 455 as listed above with many good high end performance parts-2 front bumnpers one in very nice shape-2 sets front parking lights-extra set of rear brake lenses-radiator support and radiator-front grill-lights and front bezels/ door sills-2 hoods one is a tach hood with factory gs scoops and chrome inserts and one reg hood that is blue like the car with a race scoop in the center not shown the picture didnt come out but in the same decent shape as the car- 3 front fenders-chrome for the front windshield-back window-front sill-hood/ trunk-front lights-front seats that are torn but can easily be covered the seats are whats hard to find-2 front race seats in good shape -back seat-nice hard to find shifter and center console-2 instrument clusters one with complete fuse panel and all harness for dash and dash insert-glovebox door-2 nice uncracked dash pads-2 complete interiors including front / rear door panels-sail panels-arm rests and rear arm panels-headers and refinished stock manifolds-SUPER HARD TO FIND 455 RAM AIR CLEANER / SNORKEL-new main engine and headlight harnesses from year one that was about 300$ as well as the used ones. fuel cell and holley blue pump-air lift drag shocks and air bags in rear-copy of sloan documentation and full gm buick service manual. check out the pictures way to much to list-the car was complete and running great as a race car before disassembly so most is there to reassemble. Race or restore up to you. Must be trailored of course. The one picture shows what you will need to plan on picking up. Most parts fit in the car and trunk. The 3 fenders, 2 bumpers and 2 hoods as well as both engines will need to be put somewhere because they did not fit in the car. Paypal cleared before pickup or cash ONLY. ABSOLUTELY NO CHECKS , MONEY ORDERS OR ANYTHING BUT PAYPAL OR CASH. NO SHIPPING OR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS-LOCAL SALE ONLY- as is it is a project car and is being sold not running or put together-please do not bid unless you absolutley want it and take it for what it is-clear title in hand-THANKS ALOTOn Aug-09-11 at 09:06:55 PDT, seller added the following information: The extra set of heads that come with the 455 block are 70 455 heads casting 1231786, ALSO IF YOU PAY WITH PAYPAL YOU WILL HAVE TO COVER THE EXTRA FEES THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY IN ORDER TO ACCEPT THE PAYMENT-PAYPAL FEES ARE 2.9%. TOO MAKE IT EASY 29.30 FOR EVERY 1000 DOLLARS. OR PAY CASH. THANKSOn Aug-09-11 at 19:13:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello I would like to list what came back in the sloan documentation-the car was sold as/ with a gs 455, auto 400 trans w/ full console, tilt steering, air conditioning, bucket seats, posi rear, pwr disc brakes, pwr steering,am/fm radio, rear speaker and tape deck, rear window defrost, tinted, hd air cleaner, remote rear side mirror, custom upper peak & rear moldings including rear deck lid spoiler which is rare option, protective molding ,chrome wheels and convienance group package. Some pretty rare and nice options from the factory. I wandered if the spoiler was original because alot of people add it but it looked like it was factory and I guess it is. I have been asked about the heads on the 430 particularly valve size. I listed the casting numbers and have not removed the heads since we bought it. The rockers and girdles as well as the manifold is clearly marked t/a performance. The heads definatly have aftermarket performance springs and valve train looking from the top of the head. Everything in this motor is high dollar including the poston valve covers. I did drain the oil and take off the oil pan incase someone wanted to inspect it. This engine ran like a scolded dog when we bought it and had no reason to take it apart because it didnt need improvement so bid as what you can see in the pictures. This engine was also rebuilt just before we bought it. I have had some people ask if they can drive it home. Obviously not and it is a project car and will need lots of work like any project so bid accordingly. This car is a rare opportunity to get into racing fairly easy and quick with some high dollar top notch stuff. The engines alone are worth thousands. Or a nice gs 455 to restore. It took alot of effort to gather up alot of the rare parts as well. We all know anything buick is pretty rare. I hope this goes in the right hands. thanks alot for lookingOn Aug-11-11 at 08:58:26 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer more questions I will update- I have checked the vin several times and what I listed as the vin breakdown from sloan museum above is correct. The vin and trim tag are also there and both state 44637 car which is gs 455. It is also the vin that I decoded above and had sloan verify. Sloan museum is a museum that has the original order micofische and can verify how it was built from the factory. All the options I listed above are what it came with although things may have been modified like anything else over 41 years. It does currently have drum brakes and manual steering which the guy I bought it from said he prefered of course for racing and changed. Easy and reaily available to change back or leave alone for racing. Like I said it was a race car and 41 years old so it is far from stock as shown in the pictures. It is also very far from the price of a restored one and perfect for getting into racing with some work to put it back together. This is not a hop in and drive restore. It is a project car and was stripped down to be light for racing. I will try to continue answering questions to the best of my ability I can only confirm what is there now. Thanks
