1976 BMW 2002a. Black Leather Recaro Seats, Leather MOMO Steering Wheel, Rare Automatic Transmission, Blaupukt CD Player, Yokohama Tires, Custom Sisal floor Mats. All original Glass except front which was replaced with BMW glass. This 35 year old vehicle has been lovingly maintained, professionally serviced, joyously driven and garaged. Up for your consideration are this fantastically fun and spirited 2002. I purchased the vehicle in August of 2006 from the third owner. He originally purchased it in 1995. He had completed many of the initial restoration items on the vehicle to include essentially completely stripping the vehicle to a rolling shell. It was bead blasted and all superficial rust was removed. The car was repainted black. Meanwhile the engine was undergoing an overhaul. The engine itself was disassembled and the following was done. Head removed and stripped and sent to a head shop for cleaning & reboring., new pads, the main bearings and front and rear seals replaced after the bottom-end was also blasted and cleaned, new cam, new water pump, new timing chain, header installed, intake manifold cleaned and ported, radiator removed - cleaned and rodded and new alternator to mention just some of the items he completed. I have records from the five years I have owned this BMW. It has been professionally serviced by a specialty garage which primarily works on BMW's or Mercedes. I personally have invested over $8500 of improvements into the vehicle between 8/2006 - 7/2011. I have had the following items done. I had the speedometer rebuilt, new carburetor, new engine fan, new motor mounts, rebuilt cylinder heads, new head gaskets, new thermostat, new front brake calipers, all mirrors adjusted & tightened, replaced ignition coil, new fuel pump & hoses and a new battery installed in April, 2011. This vehicle is available for inspection or a test drive in Dallas, TX at the interested party’s expense for any travel or lodging. This little car has been a lot of joy for me.
