Up for auction is this nice original 1962 Impala 2 door hardtop. The car belongs to a friend that purchased it from the original owners 25 years ago. The original owners never drove the car in the winter and since it was already a classic when it was sold 25 years ago the current owner also stored the vehicle in the off-season. The car still has the original blue paint and original interior. The paint is still nice and has a decent shine to it with the exception of a few spots where the paint is worn from washing and waxing. The chrome, glass and trim are all excellent. The interior is excellent with the exception of some slight wear on the driver’s seat. The carpet, door panels, headliner and dash are excellent. The car has the original 327 motor that runs excellent. The original 3 speed transmission was replaced with a 4 speed right after the current owner purchased the car, however, the 3 speed does come with the car. The car has a nice dual exhaust system and very good radial tires. The steering and brakes are manual as are the windows. There is no air conditioning. The car does have dealer added seat belts front and rear. This is a very nice original classic that can be enjoyed as is for many years.
