Dependable Daily Driver for Sale: I am selling my Volkwagen Beetle that I have owned since 2006. I currently drive it 120 miles per day on the Highway to and from work. My family is growing and I need a bigger car that suits my needs. This has been and still is a great car it has never left me stranded and has always started up in every weather condition Illinois has to offer, from extremely cold winters to very hot summers.It gets great gas milage, its not a hotrod but it is fun to drive. It has a few minor dings in the paint, pretty typical for the age- no dents or damage to speak of, the interior is in good shape- very clean, no major tears or staining. The car has brand new tires on the front and newer tires on the rear- I would say the front tires have about 90% life left on them and the rear tires have about 75% life left. The front end had an alignment job about 4 months ago and had new tires put on the front at that time, it has a newer battery, new alternator (less than 3 months old) newer brakes, new spark plugs, and regular oil changes its entire life. This car needs nothing to be a daily driver, there are a few very minor issues with the car that I would like to point out to potential buyers- occasionally the check engine light does come on, we have taken it in and were told that it needs a C02 sensor, nothing major, we usually take it to autozone and have the code cleared and the light turns off, the exhaust may need work, it is not really load but it is noticeable when it idols in park. On Aug-07-11 at 19:53:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of questions about the air conditioning in this car and failed to mention that 2 years ago I had a new ac compressor put in this car, this car has ice cold ac. I am the 2nd owner of the vehicle and I got it when it had 48,000 miles on it. Also the car has never been smoked in, we do not smoke and were told that the previous owners were non-smokers as well. The transmission is in excellent shape and has no known problems- the oil has always been changed and has not leaked or burnt any oil between services, nor does it leak any other fluids. The CO2 sensor is part of the exhaust components that monitors the carbon/air mixture that the car is putting out- we have not replaced it because there is no emission control laws where we live and have been told that the sensor does not effect the cars performance. I am only selling this car because I want and need to get into a better suited family car, it has been a great vehicle from college until now and I am confident that it will continue to be a good car for the next person.
