Vehicle Detail

2008 Suzuki VStrom DL650 ABSOnly 3328 miles - and over $1700+ of adventure touring parts! I bought this bike new in 2008, from Martin Motorsports. I started adding parts for what I THOUGHT would be long rides through the backroads of America. Unfortunately, I never got to ride as much as I thought I would, so this bike only has 3328 miles on it! But what a bike! The ergonomics for riding are perfect and I have been in the saddle for 6 hour stretches without a problem. This bike is very quick and agile, but yet rock-steady on the highway. The flat black color looks very cool (I call it the "Batman Bike") but I have added high-visibility reflective tape as well. (Can be easily removed if so desired.) This VStrom has been on few backroads, but never in "the dirt." It has always been garage kept, and always went to the local Suzuki dealer for any service, including oil changes. Great news for you: If you are looking for an Adventure Touring bike, this one is all set to take your cross-state or cross country! Just load it up and go! Quick remove panniers, infinitely adjustable windshield and handlebars, grip warmers, electric socket... really, this is a "turnkey" touring bike! Over $1700 of after-market parts including: Suzuki Center Stand - $243 (Lifts the rear wheel off the ground for maintenance - very stable.) Dealer-installed electric hand grip warmers - $249 (Great accessory even when it's not that cold out!) Murph's Kits - 1" Lowering Kit - $44 (Lowered the bike by 1" so I could stand flat footed. Have the original "dog bone" as well.) MP Cycle Design - Grand Touring Screen w/ bottom tint - $275 (A bit larger than stock windshield - great visibility) Madstad adjustable windshield mount - $98(Infinite adjustments of the windshield to create the perfect riding configuration for you.) Custom-made aluminum panniers (side boxes) - $232 Happy Trails - pannier mounting kit - $62 SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock Sidecarrier Evo Style - $235 (Enables you to quick remove the panniers and racks for the "stock" look) Quick-Remove Rear Trunk (fits XL helmet) - $59 SW-MOTECH 12-volt mini Euro-style socket, harness and bracket - $49 (Plug in accessories like GPS, cell phone charger, heated vest, etc.) Pat Walsh Designs - Radar Shelf - $35 (Great for holding a radar detector, GPS, camera, phone, compass, etc.) Touratech handlebar risers/adjusters - $40(Great for positioning the handlebars in virtually any combination) Stebel Airhorn - $36(Very LOUD - get's folks attention quick!) Rear view mirror farkle extensions - $41(Female screw threads let you add various components like GPS, camera, etc.) Galfer stainless steel front brake line $60 This bike has a normal wear and tear. You will notice that one pannier lid corner is a bit scraped up. It fell off because I did not secure it properly before pulling out. So it bounced off and hit the pavement, and the clasp is missing. (That is why there is a nylon strap holding that lid down in the photo.) The clasp costs about $1 to replace, plus rivets. I have just been too busy to get it done. (Yeah, yeah, I know I should have taken care of that already!) I would love to keep this bike, but I have not ridden it at all this spring or summer due to my work schedule. Plus my wife got a new car which she wants to keep in the garage bay where I keep this motorcycle, and a Honda CRF 230 dirt bike. So... both bikes are for sale. My loss is your gain! (Hey, make a deal on BOTH bikes!) I have a clear title on this bike and will only accept cash or a certified cashier's check. Sorry, no test rides but you can watch me put the bike through it's paces. Do not let this VStrom get away from you! You could spend twice as much (plus more) for a BMW, but what's the point? The VStrom is the motorcycle used by the Colorado State Police. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me - and you! Thanks for reading - and bid early, and bid often. Don't let this turnkey adventure touring bike get away from you!
