This car is possibly one of the best one's available today. This is the FIRST time ever offered for sale since acquired by my friend John in 1984!! This particular example has been owned by the same adult enthusiast owners since 1984(My dear friends John, who is in his 70's, and Barbara). Barb actually put up the cash way back then, named it "Cricket", and titled the car in Both names. Here we are, 27 years later, they are Still together, And they Still have "Cricket"!!! It has been loved and babied, like a favorite child ever since, along with John's other 8 cars. Always garaged, and never driven in inclement weather. It has been a participant at many local car shows, and has always been meticulously cared for. It is TOTALLY original, sans some ancient paintwork, and the wheels and tires. We have the owners manuals, and some service receipts documenting the low mileage. This is a 1 of a kind Alfa Spider!!!! These cars are quite hard to find in this condition, and seldom become available for sale!!! Snipers take note... THIS IS THE ONE!!! Real Auctions....$1 to start and NO RESERVE...Now THAT'S an Auction!!!!! The exterior is "Sunflower Yellow", and is in very nice condition. The paint is bright and shiny and has no signs of any colision or rust damage. There are the normal nicks, and chips/wear one would expect on an original, 33 year old car. You can see in the many detailed photos that there has been some paintwork done at some time(Overspray in jambs etc.). I know 100% that while John has owned this car, he has NEVER had any paintwork done, so what you see here has been there since at least 1984. Also note that it appears to have been rustproofed when new. Certainly this has saved it from the merciless "Rust Devil". I DID notice some slight blistering on the drivers side rocker and lower fender( I can send close ups to serious buyers). Could be JUST paint blisters, or the beginnings of some you know what. I am certainly NOT going to start poking, so.....it is what it is, and has been for as long as I can remember. The black soft top is in good condition, with no rips or tears, as is the clear plastic window. The aftermarket wheels and tires were installed about 5 years ago. Originals are long gone! The interior is Totally original also. It is glove soft black vinyl, and matching carpeting. As you would expect, it is also in very nice condition, with no noticeable wear. all functions and gauges work just great, along with the AM FM stereo Cassette player. Roll bar was installed by previous owners before John(a woman I was told).!! As per my VERY close friend John, the previous owner of the last 27 plus years, this Gorgeous Alfa Spider is in great condition. Now, having 8 cars at all times, most of them are driven very little(but they DO get driven) each year, a few hundred miles at the most. John cares for all of his cars, but only fixes what breaks. There is no regimented service history(Yes he changes oil), so plan on maybe having to spend some general maintenance money upon receipt, like fluid changes, tune up, etc.. My guess is that John would have driven this car for several years without spending a dime. You may be different. Old care rules all apply here(see below). I have driven it about 10 miles with no noticeable issues. It runs and drives just great. Syncros are good, and make no noise while shifting up or down. We have the owners books and manuals, along with some service history. Car has NOT been detailed, or reconditioned in ANY way.
