Vehicle Detail
This 1954 Iso 125GT was made by the Iso company, in Bresso Italy, before they branched off into manufacturing cars, notably the Isetta bubble car and the Corvette powered GT cars, the Iso Rivolta and the Iso Grifo. This is a two stroke, twingle, 125cc bike in great condition. The bike was restored by the previous owner after he purchased the bike from the original owner in Torino, Italy and imported it to the US. It's not a concours quality restoration, but is a good driver. I have the original Italian ownership documentation as well as the original Italian plate. I have enjoyed owning and riding this lovely little bike since I bought it early this year having ridden it to a couple of vintage motorcycle events as well as Cars and Coffee in Irvine CA. I honestly haven't ever had a vehicle that attracts as much attention as this bike does, every where you go, people smile, wave and want to talk about it. Probably the biggest bang for the buck I have ever experienced. I purchased it as a completment to my Iso Rivolta car, but have sold the car and must sell the bike to finance my next automotive project. I wanted to run one of the MotoGiro events on this bike, but now will miss that opportunity. Perhaps you will have a chance. Twingle bikes have two cylinders and two pistons sharing a single combustion chamber and plug. This technically interesting configuration gives better port timing in two strokes and is. Top speed is about 55MPH. The milage listed above is miles although the metric odo shows 40928 Km. Paint is nice and shiny, with a few small flaws, wheels are just starting to lose a bit of their chrome, but you have to look close to see it. The bike runs very well, starts right up and runs strong (for a small engined, mid-fifties Italian bike). Iso motorcycles were known as expensive, well built and dependable bikes. That quality is still apparent today. The price is as-is, where-is, although I will attempt to assist prospective buyers with shipping arrangements if necessary.
