NO RESERVE. 1961 Chevrolet Apache 20 - 3/4 ton pickup. 283 cu. in. V8. Powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission. Fleetside. Eight foot bed. Modest body-off restoration 15 years ago at direction of elderly owner. New paint did not have a lot of gloss or shine. Little use since. Stored inside since restoration. Not driven in snow or salt since restoration. It appears that presently the only rust is at the bottom of the front fenders. See bubbles in pics. Floors and body mounts show evidence of decent prior welding and appear rock solid. Rear fenders and bed are outstanding with bed wood having been replaced at time of restoration. Motor was also rebuilt. Glass looks good. Everything works. Runs and drives amazingly well with few or no rattles or shakes. Driveline "hums" or "whines" when hot after freeway driving. I have had 3 of these and they all made some sort of "singing" gear noise. Estimated 4:56 axle gear ratio limits top speed and reduces freeway cruising speeds. PG tranny drips when sitting over the winter. Tires are old and at the end of their useful life but they hold air and do not have flat spots. Does not overheat. Some paint defects and post-restoration damage. Note scrape on passenger side. Note lack of "shine" or "gloss." Minimal overspray indicates that significant time and care was taken at time of restoration. This is a nice truck.
