1979 Ford F-350 Ranger with Holes Trooper 1100 wrecker body and Century Formula I wheel lift. This truck was installed with the Holmes Trooper 1100 wrecker body by Dover Corp., Holmes Division in 1979, according to the tag on the door to verify the information and serial number of the bed. The bed has a single line winch, a telescopic boom that is raised and lowered with 2 hydraulic cylinders. The bed also has a tool box in the center with chains inside. The sling assembly is also included. The truck also has a Century Formula I wheel lift that was installed later. The lift rating for the wheel lift is 3000lbs and tow rating for 7500lbs. The lift has its own hydraulics, the chain in the picture is supporting it so the truck could be towed.The bed has two outriggers that can be manually set. The truck has the 351M or 400 V8, not sure which one for certain. The truck has been sitting for about a year and the gas has gone bad. the truck will run off of starting fluid but the tank needs to be cleaned out and fresh gas put in. I also have an extra carb to go with the truck (see picture) and it works well. The front tires have good tread and the rear tires do too but the rear tires are getting dry rotted. It has the 4 speed manual transmission. Truch has heavy push bumper on the front and a Federal Twinsonic light bar. The cab is getting rust on the roof above the doors and windshield, floors and around the doors at the bottom. The guy I bought the truck from said the bed and wheel lift worked. I have not tried any of it because I havent had the truck running long enough to see if it did. I was more interested in this truck for the truck itself and not so much the bed, but now I want it all gone. Pennsylvania inspection ran out one year ago. Business name and info on doors will be painted over prior to buyer pick up. There is lots of potential with this truck but it does need work and may need more than I specified above.
