Bertone took over production of these acclaimed little sports cars in 1982. These pedigrees differ from the Fiat production cars by enhanced cabin space, and by a complete upgrade in build materials and rust protection. The car wears only Bertone badges. Marcello Gandini was the chief designer responsible for this stylish Italian gem at Bertone’s studio. Many design elements from this car are visible in his next masterpiece- the Lamborghini Countach. As the X-1/9 is stylish, it has a perfectly balanced mid engine chassis, making it a beautiful driving experience. This car has only 16,000 mile, making it one of the lowest mileage X-1/9 in the world. It was repainted black by a previous owner. The paint still looks great. Mechanically it is near perfect as the mileage suggests.
