Shown here is a wonderful one owner 1968 Volvo 122S wagon. This car has spent its whole life on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, to be more specific Carmel and has only left the area once in its life. And that was a long adventure to San Francisco. Originally sold in Monterey California at Scandia Volvo by a lady owner, who's grandson's name still appears on the title from whom we purchased it from,who special ordered it in dark blue exterior and interior. Afterwords this little beauty cruised the streets of Carmel bringing smiles to everyone's faces. The bulletproof B18 4 cylinder engine is equipped with factory optioned dual 3 bolt SU Carburetors and a 4 speed manual transmission this 122 drives down the road beautifully. Having recently turned 100k original miles with all gauges working, there is no confusion that there are many years left on this beauty. You might ask, why is the front end a different color? Here is why. When the car was in storage it was punched in the nose by a bigger car, which caused minor damage. But in the best interest of the car a clean new front clip was installed and sealed in a Ford dark blue. The original bumper, lights and drivers side grill were retained. Mechanically the carbs have been sorted and the fuel system drained, cleaned and inspected with new fuel lines and hi performance fuel filter installed. Not to mention new air cleaners, breather hose and of course battery. This car starts right up every time and runs like a dream. If you are looking for a neat car with a good fun history here it is.. A low mileage 122s with no mysteries. Notably, the Amazon platform was used as the basis for the P1800 and 1800ES On Jul-05-11 at 12:02:23 PDT, seller added the following information: We learned today from a very helpful ebay member(roundfender) that our car represented here is actually a 1968 122s according to the Data plate in the engine compartment. Evidently because the first line on the data plate ends in a "P" which designates it as 1968 model year. Due to being a 1968 it also has many features that the 67 did not have these include front seat headrests, new style light/fan/etc switch knobs (soft and they break off), new style bow-tie steering wheel, rear quarter panel red reflectors.
