Vehicle Detail

To keep things interesting......First off.......No Reserve Auction..starting bid is a dollar!!!!!!!! Car will sell to the highest bidder...So bid to Win!!!! I have over 50K invested. You will love this car!!! You are looking at my 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS 409..not a clone....Numbers matching! This car underwent a 3 year frame off restoration by myself who performed all the work except for engine block machining. The car only has a few hundred miles on it since completed. The paint and body were done some time ago..but it was done right. It was repainted the original Polymer maroon color. Body is arrow straight except for a few scratches, (see pics). The car has new stainless steel fuel lines and brake lines along with new tank, sender, straps, etc. Front suspension is all Moog and energy suspension. Rear suspension is all adjustable Hotchkis along with their front and rear sway bar kit. Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners. The car has been converted to 4 wheel disc brakes via a Baer 13 inch track kit. The car will stop on a dime with minimal pedal effort. The 409 engine is all fresh, with 10/10 crank, Ross forged pistons, 10:5 to 1 compression, DR. 409's 425 HP solid lift cam, with Scorpian roller rocker arm kit with ARP screw in 7/16 studs. Dr. 409's Hi-perf harmonic balancer. New valves in cylinder heads. (Have receipts). The car has 62 valve covers, because I like them better (built in wire looms). All machine work was done locally at Advanced Automotive here in Waldorf. Full MSD ignition, coil, distributor, wires and has Irrdium spark plugs. This car sits a lot and starts on the first crank everytime. Holley 750HP DP carb, with Carter Hi-perf mechanical pump. Car has aluminum radiator and runs about 195degress in 100 degree weather. The car was originally an automatic-powerglide, which has been rebuilt and comes with(including all shifter linkage, etc.) The car has been converted to a manual transmission with an original 63 Impala pedal assembly, flywheel and all linkages. The transmission is a 1969 Camaro 4 speed (Not a Muncie)that was rebuilt with all new components. Has a new hurst shifter and ball. The car is very fast and will definitely haul the mail and will chirp 4th gear , no problem. I mainly just cruise it to work and back...26 miles round trip. The interior is all new with Full Autometer gauges, all lights work, including door switch activated lights and glove box. The underhood wiring harness is new. This car has original P/S and A/C. I removed all A/C stuff and smoothed the hole in firewall. I was going to install a Vintage Air set-up..about ($1200 for the good one). I have all the original A/C/heat system. The rear is the original 3:31 with all new bearings and seals along with an Auburn Pro-series Posi unit. Wheels and tires are 17x8 Torque Thrust IIs with BFG 245 45 17 KDWSs. The tires pictured on the back are not the ones sold on car. The rears will match the front ones. This was pretty much a nut and bolt job and the pictures do not do the car justice. Car is dusty and could use a good detailing. Bumpers and interior/Carpet are all new too!! I know I am forgetting plenty..but feel free to ask any questions. Contact me at 240-299-0327, I do not need any help selling..Thanks though! The reason I am selling.....car is finished..had my fun..time to move to another project. I would consider a partial trade plus cash, no projects...I am a Ford guy at heart....What do you have..entertain me? I love mustangs, and the limited edition stuff..Roush, SVO, Cobra, Cobra r, 1993-1995 Lightnings. No Gen2 Lightnings. Paperwork a plus! I am a stand up guy and I expect the same from you....Now for the financial stuff, I will accept cash, cashiers check or any suitable means for payment, but car will not leave my garage until all funds clear. I will assist with shipping if that is what you want, you make all arrangements. No scams! Serious bidders only please..Please have your cash set up before bidding and get the old lady's approval before you bid....(Learned that one the hard way). If you buy the car and it is not what I say it is..you are not obligated to buy. So....Hey... that about sums it up. If you are looking for a nice Impala SS 409...look no further. Bring your truck when you pick up...lots of extra stuff that goes with car!! On Jul-26-11 at 13:55:17 PDT, seller added the following information: **************Here is the trim tag from under the hood 7B Detroit Michigan Style 63-1847 Body SL75974 Trim 812 Paint 948 ACC E-C-K-Y-G *******The engine suffix code is QG, serial number matches Vin#, I am not pulling the valve covers off to get part numbers, the block is a 1963 409 and was a 340HP factory, it still has factory heads and intake manifold as well as factory exhaust manifolds. Car had 80,000 ish miles showing on the odometer when I started the project , I believe it to be original mileage. Estimate current horsepower around 380-400, torque 480-490ish lb. ft. Call for more questions.....Thanks! On Jul-27-11 at 20:11:39 PDT, seller added the following information: ******Due to the high interest in my Impala......Please feel free to bid on car, but Please if you have less than 10 Positive feedback(s), do not bid without contacting me first or your bid may be cancelled. Thanks for looking and Good Luck Bidding! On Jul-31-11 at 16:53:21 PDT, seller added the following information: ******Couple of people came by to see the car this weekend, they say they are planning to bid. Both people said car is way nicer in person than the pictures describe it. I have more pics of the car if anyone needs them, just ask. I have an entire box of receipts and paperwork that goes with the car. The factory A/C and heat are in a box, original rebuilt trans, and a lot of other stuff. The scoop on the hood has the machine turned finish to match the side molding, it also is held on with Zues fastners so it can easily be removed. Car also comes with the longer "buzzard catcher" style air cleaner as well. All the trim on the car, front hood lower lip, hood emblem, 6 piece side molding with real machine turned inserts (not stickers), emblems and both bumpers are new. The rear cove molding is original and in my opinion could stand to be replaced. The original radio has been removed but comes with, it currently has one of those custom auto sound radios installed in dash, but not hooked up yet. The windshield has a wiper mark on the drivers side, could be polished out. The plastic gas pedal is new, but not installed yet. I have a few small new parts that go with car, but are not installed yet as well. The original jack and handle are in the trunk along with a nice spare. I also have a factory 63 Impala SS tachometer that I will swap out to the high bidder if you do not want the Autometer Monster one. I paid $500 for it, bought it here on ebay before you could buy a repop one for $250. It has the complete harness with it. Please bid to win...I have just over 50K in this car..beleive it or not. Thanks for all the trade offers..keep em coming! You never know.
