1985 300D This is a nice example of a classic, well maintained and cared for 300D Sedan. Mechanical This is the last production year of the virtually indestructable five cylinder engine that made Mercedes-Benz famous. This turbo charged engine runs great and is smooth throughout the power range. The motor has recently had the valves adjusted, the oil changed and all of the filters replaced. This car is quite, powerful and can cruise at freeway speeds all day long with no effort. The transmission shifts perfectly with no slipping or hard shifts. The brakes, steering and suspension all operate like new. Exterior The body is in great condition with only some small dents and a few small chips (see pictures). The paint has some deterioration to the clear coat on the top of the car and the trunk (see pictures). Interior The black interior is in almost perfect condition with very little wear. There is some slight damage to the drivers seat ( see pictures). All of the switches, gauges, mirrors, seats, sunroof, antenna, etc. operate properly. The Sound system is upgraded with a CD player and new speakers. This is a great example of exceptional German engineering.
